Classic Pool Decks & Patios

In March 2018 we had our pool deck completely resurfaced with pavers. There was a time constraint and with a little pushing as the company was very busy Bob and his company got the job done. I really enjoyed working with Bob. He was knowledgeable professional and very customer focused. The new pool deck looks fabulous and I would highly recommend working with Bob and his company if you need his services

From a paver perspective they did a fantastic job on our spa. Regarding, sealing my pool deck, driveway, outdoor kitchenette, etc. there is more to be desired. Approximately 1 month after applying 2 coats of sealer, I started notice weeds, mold, and mildew coming back in between my pavers. I had numerous other companies come inspect the work and offer their professional option and I was advised by multiple local companies that the job wasn’t completed correctly. When I asked what that means I was told that after pressure-washing & cleaning all surfaces, they should have been allowed to dry in full. Then polymeric sand should have been used on driveway and pool paved area to create a barrier and fill in pavers prior to applying sealer. The sealer product used I was advised wasn’t very good because it should look wet and also bead up water when it makes contact. After learning this, I went back to Brian from Classic Pools & Spa requesting they come take a look. Brian apparently stopped over when I wasn’t home and left me a VM stating there is nothing wrong with the job. If I want it redone (with polymeric sand & the correct way) I would have to repay for the job to be done. I reached out via text asking for them to make it right before I wrote a review informing other consumers of things to watch out for, and again I was told I’d have to pay. My intent is just to warn other consumers of what to be aware of when hiring this company. You get what you pay for, and apparently I didn’t do enough homework prior to hiring them for the cleaning/sealing portion of my project. As I mentioned the paver/tile work was great, the rest not so much. Thanks for reading.
