Royal Home Flooring LLC

I was introduced to Royal Home Flooring by a friend who used them to install carpets. After reading the reviews and all the company’s promises on their website, I decided to give them a call. The sales rep came to give us an estimate and when I mentioned other competing companies like Luna and Empire, he said Royal Home Flooring is different from them because all the other companies have hidden fees. He was nice enough to work with me to get the best price that was right for our budget. The disaster began on the Day 1 of the project. On their website they said they guarantee a call 30 min prior to the arrival, but they failed to do that. As the project went on, they said they needed new plywood because the old ones rotted. They quoted me extra $2000. I told the sales rep, Markus, that this isn’t fair since we didn’t prepare for the huge hidden extra cost. I told him that I wanted the job to be done correctly so if we have to, we will pay that extra $2000. When the job was done, the baseboards all over the house were damaged (scratched up, chipped, quarter round was not stapled firmly) and most importantly, there were huge gaps around the door frames from the floor to the frames. They sent the installer to fix it but they only came with silicone caulk and he even says that this isn’t the correct way to fix it. He said it will not look good. I’m assuming the company told them to just caulk it and temporarily fix it? The installers didn’t even know how to install back my bed frames so they broke two pieces of screws. The installers also got caught cutting corners by installing the floors around the washer and dryer instead of going underneath! Their excuse was they didn’t know how to uninstall the washer and dryer. So we uninstalled them and they went under! If we weren’t watching them closely, they would have just cut corners. I spoke to Markus to fix the issues because we still have gaps and the balcony sliding door area needs a different moulding than a white quarter round. But just got an email from Sunny, saying that the job at our house is completed. They said they’ll charge us extra money to fix those gaps without mentioning how much more! Remember, we already paid $2000 extra for the plywood but they’ll be charging more unspoken cost! Their website says that there customers will be treated like royalties if we wirk with them and they promise high quality work that’s satisfying to the customer, but I definitely did not experience the kind of promises they say on their website. I am left unsatisfied and I definitely do not recommend this company. I’m questioning if their reviews on their website is really honest reviews from the real customers.
