I am VERY DISSATISFIED! First off, I contacted Brett with Miracle Touch Surfacing LLC a week before Thanksgiving this year. He was scheduled to come out on Nov 18th. I was pleased with the quote we received, so he got the job. However, that quickly changed once he arrived. He told me it would take him approximately 2-3 hours to complete the job, and he could do it for the price he quoted even though it was "more than he expected". (When I called I told him a 100 sq foot bathroom with tile 3/4 the way up the wall, he assumed I meant bathtub/shower even though I stated ROOM). So he begins working on the price and timeline we agreed on. Less than 2 hours into the job, he tries to almost DOUBLE the price because he misspoke, which I did not let happen and told him we weren't paying a dime more than what he quoted when he saw the room and started. He apologized, said he wasn't trying to "take me for a ride", and continued working for the price we agreed. Then on HOUR 7, he says he needs more materials and he will have to go to his warehouse to check. He comes back for 10 minutes on Day 2, and only came the following day (Day 3) because my husband called to complain. He somehow managed to do the whole bathroom that morning in under 3 hours. Which I WAS impressed, UNTIL I SAW THE SHOWER. As he was already cleaning up his gear, before I even thoroughly checked his work, I noticed HORRIBLE run marks all through the shower walls. I bring this to his attention, and he says he will be out the following week to fix it. I was reluctant to let him go, he said it needed to dry before he tried to fix it, and we were in the middle of a remodel, and needed the room to be functional within a week for expecting company for the holiday. So after the holiday, I call and he sets the date/ time of Dec 7th at 8am. I get a message the evening of the 6th telling me he is at a job in Knoxville, and won't be back to finish the job. I understand and we set a time for the following Monday, Dec 12. I message him the 11th, and no response. So I message him again the morning of the 12th, to which he replies he is waiting for materials to come in... We didn't hear back until the following Monday, when I messaged him asking what was up with the progress of fixing my shower. He says he is still waiting for materials to come in. He ordered a smaller gun to fix my shower. Okay. So he gets the materials finally, tells me Thursday Dec 22nd works at noon for him. Then Thursday comes, and yet again, Brett asks for a different time. Apparently this time he didn't have childcare lined up for his children. So he asks when is the latest he can make it out, it will only take him a few minutes (his exact words were 10 minutes) to complete the job. We had plans to go out to dinner, and see Santa with our children this night, but he calls right as my husband gets home, and with him saying it won't take long, we believe him, and let him come complete the job to just be done with it and have our bathroom operational again! So he comes, it goes past 10 minutes, then an hour passes, and now two hours have passed. My family is hungry, upset, and disappointed at how the night has turned out by this point. We had to skip seeing Santa for the night, and one of us had to go out and grab fast food for dinner. Come to find out, this man not only wasted our time, but his FAMILY'S time too! He left his wife and kids in the car, in my driveway for 3 HOURS, let that just sink in, 3 HOURS!!! Apparently they had plans for the evening too, and instead of getting his gear out of the car, letting his wife take the kids to have fun and come back to get him once he saw it was taking forever, but he DIDN'T! He let them sit there. At one point, she left him, and he had to call her asking for her to come back because there was materials he needed from the car. And what was the hold up you ask? This "new smaller gun" he ordered to complete my job had gunk in the nozzle and he has to dig it out. He doesn't even properly care or store his equipment, as this is not the first time he's complained of this issue causing the hold up. And if it was new, and you were waiting for this gun to come finish my bathroom, why was it already used? It would seem this company does not train their employees, and does not seem legitimate or professional. I'm thoroughly dissatisfied and will attach photos of the horrible craftsmanship in my shower.
