Small Town Steel

I signed a contract with Small Town Steel on Sept 30, 2016 to put up a 40'x60'x14' building with a 12' lean to and have made 3 payments (per the contract) for a total of $39,180. Small Town Steel started framing for the slab in November 2016 and poured concrete on November 18, 2017. About the same time they delivered a few pieces of steel and Ben said per the contract I had to pay once the steel was delivered - so I paid him. I paid for the concrete before they removed the forms and the concrete was terrible and I should not have paid until it was fixed. After months of calling and complaining, Ben finally came out and ground the concrete on April 18th, 2017. I dealt with Crystal during the initial phases, but when things started going bad she stopped taking my calls and returning emails/texts. Ben kept saying I was next and then a couple weeks would pass and I would get the same story. Now Ben and Crystal have stopped taking my calls or returning my emails. The last email I got was May 13th saying he would be out the following week. I texted and emailed all contacts I have for them at the end of May 2017 letting them know if I don't hear back I would start filing complaints to make sure nobody else makes the mistake of using them for any work. I am writing this review on 7/10/17 and still no word from Small Town Steel. If you want a building put up by a reputable company - find someone else - DO NOT USE SMALL TOWN STEEL. If you want someone that will reply to your emails once you give them money - find someone else - DO NOT USE SMALL TOWN STEEL. If you want to waste your money, get poor quality work, get someone that will not finish the job and work with a company that will not answer your calls or respond to you - well you are in luck and SMALL TOWN STEEL is a scam and the company for you. Ben and Crystal McFadden will be the nicest people until they get your money at which point they are unreachable. Save your money and sanity and find someone else to put up your building. If I could give them a lower rating I would. AVOID SMALL TOWN STEEL AND ANYTHING TO DO WITH BEN MCFADDED OR CRYSTAL MCFADDEN.
