Utmost Services Inc has just finished a complete remodel to my home in Alaqua and My, wife and I have been completely satisfied with all the work completed, the professionalism of Jeff and all the crews, even with my wifes constant changes, we still ended up finishing within the 6 months scheduled! The costs were very reasonable and fair. We have already referred Utmost Services to our friends and are actually working on one of their homes now. We Highly reccomend Jeff Utke and Utmost Services Inc. Dr B

It's important to share both the good and bad when it comes to making decisions involving the investment of large sums of money, and I feel this definitely needs to be shared since it relates to losing money to Utmost due to poor time and materials management, and simply a lack of dedication to the job; a harsh reality that my wife and I had to face regarding our unfinished contract with Utmost Services. We initially met with a few contractors, then compared costs and experience to help decide to choose. And in the end we chose Jeff/Utmost Services because he simply told us apparently only what we wanted to hear. Hindsight, I guess. After we chose Utmost and went over everything on our list with Jeff, the contract was written and later signed by all necessary parties. The full process included new living areas for my wife and I, and another for her parents; including tearing down walls, building new ones, new floors, ceilings, tile, carpet, appliances, internal/external painting, electrical...ev-er-y-thing has been updated inside and out. Before we found the house and during/after the closing process, we had been living in an Extended Stay because we decided not to deal with the hassles of early termination contract issues with apartment living after our relocation to Florida, and chose to remain at the hotel until the work was finished, which Jeff originally promised would take approximately six weeks. However, we still gave Jeff some leeway in time due to the size of the project. Well, long story sadly longer, nine months have gone by and the work is still unfinished...by Jeff, that is. We had ended up moving from the hotel and into a construction zone, FOUR months into the project but that didn’t seem to motivate Jeff to work any faster. Sadly, he never seemed motivated to do hardly any work, even in the beginning even when he did show up, which I noticed early on that he typically showed up around mid-morning, yet still ended his day like he started first thing in the morning. This was a constant thing, and I insisted that he start earlier, no matter what disruption it caused to my wife or me. But as time passed, the less we began to see of Jeff, to the point that one day that the work materials he usually kept onsite were noticed gone. That was in September, after we very hesitantly handed him the last payment, as he adamantly promised us that he was going to finish, leaving somewhere in the ballpark of 15%-20% of work left. Sadly, and by this point unsurprisingly, he remained unresponsive to our texts, which had been our primary form of contact, insisted originally by him, which was later backlashed to us both after we finally heard from him, which was done in part by a conversation with our realtor after we advised them of the lack of progress. I found out from my wife, in tears, that Jeff had called her and yelled at her nonstop for 10 minutes because we made our realtor aware of this “situation”. Relatedly, another observation I took notice of early on; his temper. He remained a "yes" man to us through most of the project, but I noticed on more than one occasion when he thought he wasn't within an earshot of anybody other than his family, he usually remained yelling at one of his family members around...usually in most cases his youngest son. Also, if you don't mind children doing the work that you assumed hired professionals would do, I suggest keeping this strongly in mind. The experience in painting of our patio deck is certainly indicative of age, as is other projects throughout the house that either had to be touched up or redone. We have since hired help from other sources who have completed the remaining projects in a fraction of the time, and have started new ones, because of their staffs’ timeliness and professionalism. And while Jeff is back in the picture, he is doing nothing more than adding hostility to the situation. He still owes us receipts, something he said he would provide at the end of the project, but now telling us once that he doesn't have them, then again that he'll need to find them and will deliver to us, and then again to just contact the credit card companies. He also still has our master key, which we had planned to re-key our locks after the project, but he now claims that he put it with a large group of items that have since been moved and was not made known to us until just recently. Since these items were relocated over four months ago, it would be impossible to find now. So, it's either lost or he still has it, which now becomes a security issue along with theft since it. Just one more head scratcher to add to the list. Please note that no detail has been embellished, as this has been that bad of an experience that I hope to prevent it from happening to as many people as possible from being robbed of time and money from this company going forward.
