All Iowa Roofing Siding & Windows

On September 24th I signed a contract with All Iowa Roofing Siding & Windows to install 20 windows. I put a deposit of $3,300 down for the windows and scheduled work to be performed on October 10th. The day I signed the contract they said windows would be shipped directly to me. On October 9th I was informed that the manufacturer sent new construction windows and they needed to re-order. They rescheduled window installation for October 24th. October 24th came and went, but no windows were installed. I also did not received any windows. They said they would begin installing windows on the 25th. On October 25th they did not call or show. On October 26th I sent e-mail communicating my frustration. They said they would begin windows on October 28th and complete on the 29th. The 28th came and no work began. During the following week the story continued. They would set a time to begin or deliver window, but nothing would get started. On November 7th I told them I was going to file a police report for fraud and demanded a refund. They delivered a check and requested that I did not cash it until Monday afternoon. Monday November 9th during the afternoon I attempted to cash the check and the bank said they were unable to cash the check. That evening they came over and gave me cash for a portion of the refund and gave a receipt for remaining balance. In exchange for the cash they requested the check they gave me the night before be returned. As of December 21st I am still waiting on the remainder of the refund.
