I'm absolutely astonished that this company hasn't been shut down. Please do yourself a favor and look at the complaints listed for this BBB rated F company before you do any business with them. I promise all of the reviews there, and all of the 1 star reviews here on Google are 100% correct. We went through a broker who had contracted Global for our move. We had agreed on an estimate after a THROUGH walk through of our house. Later, when we realized we had more stuff than originally estimated we contacted out broker again to revise the estimate. Our costs went up, as expected, but now we had everything covered. At this point we had a "binding estimate" or so I thought. Fast forward to moving day. After walking around the house for an hour and numerous phone calls by the moving foreman we were told that to take all of our stuff we would have to pay thousands of more dollars than originally estimated. This was after the previously revised estimate, and we were well below that revised furniture and box count. Being on a Saturday and not being able to reach our broker or the moving company we were forced to have them only take a portion of the items that were listed in our binding estimate. This is text book extortion. This situation forced us have to rent a Uhaul, and sub contract moving labor, just to get the remainder of the stuff that was agreed upon, but not taken by Global. Not only did this cost us a substantial amount of money (still substantially less than what Global attempted to extort out of us) but the time we had to expend on it was ridiculous. We have attempted to contact Global multiple times about the situation at pick up and have only received platitudes and promises of a call back from an "escalation" manager. This never happened. Fast forward again to day 16 of the 17 business days promised to have our stuff arrive. Still nothing, and now we are having to pester this company about where are stuff is. No communication of a delivery date as of yet. Mind you this move was only about 300 miles to an adjacent state! It's unfathomable! Obviously do not use this company for anything unless you are a glutton for punishment, and if you are using a broker as we did, please communicate with them that you refuse to use them if they are going to contract your move through Global. My wife asked me repeatedly to not make this review until our stuff had arrived for fear of retribution. Yes, this company is so bad, and run so poorly, that she thought they would purposely damage our items beacuse of it. That should tell you something! I'm fairly confident now that the extra money they ask for during the 11th hour of the move is to cover their ever increasing legal fees. Before the obligatory response that they are "working on it" or that this review was "made in error" this review 100% pertains the the Global Moving based in Charlotte, NC and you are doing nothing to fix this.

As I read all the negative reviews, it sounds exactly like Global Moving Company. I have not received my goods yet, but from the very beginning from my scheduled delivery date of pick has been a disaster with this Company. I can only imagine what my furniture will look like once I receive it, in which I will go through my own home owners insurance to claim any and all damages to my things. I was told and verified that my things would be picked on on July 26th. Around 3pm I didn’t hear anything from anyone, so I called to find out if they were still coming, I was them notified that something happened and they rescheduled my move to the 27th. It would not have been a big deal if they would have let me know prior to 3pm, without me calling to find out what was going on. I want to point out, they DO NOT give the free 30 days storage. I was told I would get 30 days of free storage. It is now 9 August 2022 and I got a call today stating, they WILL NOT keep my things in storage any longer and my things MUST be delivered on the 12th and there is no way around it, which was my tentative delivery date per my request. I get a call from the driver after I get off the phone with Jason, and the driver told me, he will be delivering my things on the 11th. Let the record show, I still DO NOT have a house to move my things into so I have to get another storage unit, and they are going to drop my things off at the storage on 11 AUG 2022. I get a storage and the driver tells me, if an 18 wheeler can not fit in the storage area, I will be charged $22 thousand dollars for them to switch to a smaller truck. Let me also point out, when they pick up my goods from my house on 27 July 22, they picked everything up in a 26 foot truck, so my question is, why the changed from a 26 ft truck to a 18 wheeler a 75ft truck, when it can be moved in a 26ft truck?! I say all this to say PLEASE DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT BOOK WITH GLOBAL MOVING COMPANY, or the broker that set me up with them which is FAST MOVING GROUP. These companies will try to blackmail you into getting more money from you. My payment went from around 5k as the estimate, to around 9k which ended up being my final bill. Also, global moving was going to let me pay in full with my credit card, but once I told them “I will dispute this charge if anything happens to my goods or if I don’t receive my goods” they no longer let me pay with my credit card and told me it must be either be a wire transfer, cash, zelle, or post office money order. All of which you can not dispute or get refunded if there was any kind of negligence. I went back and forth with Doug Parker, which is a manger I believe. Christie Strong which is also a manager I believe. Jason, (I don’t know his last name) . And with Fast Moving Group, Eric and Jahmal. All of which were very unprofessional, made up lies, told me I would have to pay more, gave me the run around etc. I will add, they did compensate me $150 for them not coming on the original date I was given for my pick up date. This isn’t to talk bad about anyone, but to let you know that these two Companies I mentioned, are not good Companies that I would recommend to anyone if you are moving your household goods.

Everything got moved with no damage. They were fast and fantastic and bulldozed through the moving, even with the three flights of stairs and an enormous refrigerator. I highly recommend their service!

The reviews here on Yelp were really good, so I decided to book them for my 1BR move too. I am super excited to tell you guys that the move went super well, and I am going to book them in the future, too, for all the moves.
