Read the alert from the BBB they have posted about Lay it Straight on their website site, after so many unresolved complaints they have issued an alert about LIS and their business practices and the numerous unresolved issues previous customers have experienced from poor workmanship, calls not returned, not handling complaints etc. BBB are now alerting you of their findings

I have used this business twice now and can only say that the difference between the first time and the second was like dealing with a totally different company and based on my last experience would never, ever recommend them to another person. We paid them 100% in advance, they advised that they had changed their policy and won't start any job without payment in full. As we had such a great experience the first time we didn't think much about it. We hired them to install new granite counter tops and tiled backsplash in the kitchen. We paid them in full at the end of January, they started the job March 9th for what they told us would be a 3 day job for removal of old granite and tile and then the installation, the job finally finished at the end of July, four and a half months later after a truly horrendous experience. Like other reviews and complainants they failed to show up endless times without any explanation, took weeks on end to return calls and emails, told us different stories everytime they evetually did talk to us. Despite the name of the company laid both tile and granite wonky and far from straight, damaged our property during the install and much , much more, the list of complaints is endless. The first time we worked with them we dealt with the owner of the company, she was very nice, second time we dealt with her husband who is one of the rudest people I've had the misfortune to deal with and constantly blames, his staff, his sub contractors and you the customer for their horrendous lack of customer service. By far the worst experiences I've ever had with a contractor as you can tell we won't be back to use them ever again !!!!!

BUYER BEWARE THIS IS THE WORST COMPANY I HAVE EVER WORKED WITH !!! I went into the store on 9/6/17 and purchased granite counter tops and paid in full. they sent someone out to measure and at that time I was told they would contact me in a couple days to set up install. When I purchased the counter tops Alexs ( the Owner) told me two weeks to have them installed. Well two weeks after measuring no call so I called the store and was told to call the warehouse. I called for 4 days and no answer so I called the store back and was told there was nothing they could do ? Really?? Like they can't call the owner or the people at the warehouse on their cell phones ? well anyway I finn ally got thru and was told they had me scheduled Oct 5th ? really? without calling me or asking me if that would work? of course I couldn't do that day because I was working. What kind of company sets you up for installation with asking or calling to confirm that will work? Well we made a date for Oct 6th and they came out which was Friday afternoon and when the installer arrived you could tell he was ready for the weekend, he took a look at my kitchen and said my corner cabinet was too weak. I would think the installers would have some skills to reinforce it but NO they left. Then I get a call stating I can buy a new cabinet for $1100.00 LOL. I got a carpenter to come out and fix it but they still would not schedule me until I text them pictures. After receiving the pictures the scheduled me for 10-25-17 @10am but show up at 11:30(no call) I had to call and ask if they were coming. Upon completion of my install I was not happy, they brought an 8ft counter top in 2 pieces and seamed it right in the middle and it looks terrible ? also a 1/2 inch gap between wall and counter. I called the an ask for the owner and she will not speak with you. You can only speak with her employee who tells me I must email her ? I tell him I want to speak with her not him and he says he will tell her but he calls me back and tells me she says it looks fine ? Were is the customer satisfaction ? I paid 100% up front. I again told him to have her call me and guess what? she did not. I am contacting the Ohio consumer Protection Agency. A Company should not be aloud to operate in this manner. I will file a small claim also if it comes to that. Please dont give your money to these people !!!!
