Crawl Space Encapsulation in Woodlawn | Mar 2014 | This home was suffering from moisture damage in the crawl space. Not only that, but the homeowner was unable to use it as a storage space. Both dirt and water had made its way into the crawl space over time. Due to the conditions in the crawl space, the pipes had begun to rust and the wood structures had become moldy and started to rot. We used a CleanSpace Crawl Space Encapsulation System to keep the crawl space clean and dry. Smart Pump sump pump was also installed to ensure that the crawl space will stray dry. Lastly, a SaniDry Dehumidifier was installed to keep the humidity down an eliminate the possibility of mold and mildew growth. These elements all fit together to create a healthy, dry crawl space. | Woodlawn, IL
Basement Remodeling Transformation | Mar 2014 | This basement was a typical unfinished basement, just bare concrete and exposed pipes. We worked hard to make this a dry, usable and inviting space. This basement was transformed from underused space to playroom, which helped the homeowners use space they didn't know they had. For this project basement an egress window and a Rockwell Egress Window Well were added as well as a WellDuct window well drainage system to protect the basement from window well leaks. Spray foam insulation was utilized in the rim joists. Fire blocking was added for safety. Everlast Basement Wall Panels, which are 1/2 inch thick cement board backed with a 2 1-/2 inch thick rigid foam board insulation and coated with a vinyl surface treatment, were used on the walls. Lastly, inorganic MillCreek Flooring, which don't run the risk of developing mold and mildew, was installed. The full details of this project can be viewed on our website. | Collinsville, IL
Massive Wall Crack | Mar 2014 | This homeowner had a huge problem. For many of us this damage is our worst nightmare. The issue started out as a small crack that wasn't repaired. As it progressed, a large portion of the concrete separated and started settling and caused a gaping hole in the wall. By using push piers we were able to turn this seemingly disastrous problem into a happy ending. | Collinsville, IL |
