TILE TECH

Chris Danks of Tile Tech installed new tile in our bathroom. The work consisted of removing and replacing wall and floor tile. We thought it strange that we could never see the work until after we paid him. First day the floor area was wet after he painted it with a primer and we couldn't enter the bathroom. Then the next day the floor tile was cemented and drying and we couldn't enter. Then the third day the floor tile was grouted and we couldn't enter as well but he wanted to be paid anyway. Finally on the next day after he demanded payment, we entered the bathroom and learned that over 75% of the wall and floor tile was not flush or level, on both the walls and floors. In fact, the tile is almost 1/4" higher than the adjacent tile. The floors are a serious trip hazard and the work is substandard and not professional at all. The tile around the niche is poorly cut and the grout lines are large and uneven. Finally, we learned he never protected the newly installed acrylic tub and scratched it in 3 places. When we contacted Chris Danks to complain about his poor workmanship, he said the tile was warped and therefore he could not install the tile flush. We took a level and checked every tile and not a single tile was warped. It was just an excuse for poor workmanship. He refused to refund our money so that we can have a skilled tile setter remove the defective work and reinstall it properly.

Tile Tech just left and I am dancing with joy over the look of my new floor. I bought a foreclosure home that needed a LOT of work. They tore up the 30 year old nasty carpet and replaced it with tile that looks like wood. They did a fantastic job and I couldn't be happier. They were on time, friendly and professional. I recommend them highly for their quality work!

The owner Chris Danks likes to cancel scheduled jobs after making you wait for 9 weeks for the project to start. Not a good way to do business but we are happy to take on the customers he screws over!
