Mahogany Island Counter-Top | Jan 2014 | Solid African Mahogany counter-top for a kitchen island. This piece measures 80" x 44" x 1.5" and is finished with Walnut oil and a matte, liquid-proof lacquer. | $2k | Columbus, OH
Walnut Counter-Tops | Jan 2014 | 2 Walnut counter-top pieces for a kitchen remodel. All pieces are 1.5" in thickness and have been sanded smooth and sprayed with a moisture-proof, protective finishing to guard the wood from every day usage. We had to miter-cut (45 degree angle cut) the edges of the two pieces that meet together in the corner, which looks seamless and very professional. A mitered joint is typically the more aesthetically pleasing option for these situations. Price-point included all materials (lumber, glue), consultations, labor, the mitered cut joinery, and the protective spray finishing. | $3k | Hilliard, OH
Hard Maple Table-Top | Jan 2013 | We made a Hard Maple table-top for a very special client the summer of 2013. They were looking for something very simple, but custom, to fit their needs both aesthetically and functionally. The top measures 50" x 30" x 1.5" and is finished with a satin, liquid-proof lacquer. | $800 | Columbus, OH
Sassafras Bakery | Jan 2013 | We were approached by the owner of Sassafras Bakery in the beginning of July 2013, and we were asked to build custom Hickory wooden table-tops and counter-tops for her new store opening at the end of that same month. The client was looking for a more "rustic" aesthetic, which led us to the choice of Hickory. The grain has beautiful, natural mineral stains throughout the wood, and we knew it would give her the look she was aiming for. We also left as much of the "live edge" and milling marks on the sides of the counters - again, to really touch on that natural, more rustic look. Each piece was finished with 5-6 coats of lacquer and sanded in between coats. We certainly had our work cut out for us since we were working under relatively short notice, and also on a very tight budget. But as another local business, we certainly understood and appreciated the client's need to find quality work while not breaking the bank. We were able to save the client several hundred dollars by working within her budget, and delivered an end product that she, her customers, and we were absolutely thrilled with. | $4k | Worthington, OH
Walnut Harvest Table | Jan 2012 | This client came to us wanting to build a long harvest table for her big family. The top and base is made from solid Walnut, with our signature contrasting Maple stripe on the surface. The top measures 98" x 36" x 1.5". | $2k | Columbus, OH |
