This was a large scale project. The home owners wanted to expand the kitchen in order to have more space to move around and to entertain guests. To meet these needs we decided to add an additional 5 feet to the kitchen, which involved removing an exterior wall and bumping out the back of the house, which of course creates problems. One of which was a load bearing post that sat directly where the new island would be. Our designer and project manager worked extensively with a structural engineer to solve this issue so that the integrity of the design would be upheld while keeping to code. The results speak for themselves; an elegant, functional, family and guest friendly kitchen that will serve the home owners for decades to come. When we last spoke to the home owners, they told us that they entertained 25 adults comfortably! A job well done.

This bathroom was a complete remodel in an old 1/2 bath from the 1920's. The customers wanted a stand-in shower to complete the bathroom, but there was a difficulty with the size of the space. In-order to resolve the space issue, we removed the linen cabinets and storage area and created a space for the shower.

This galley style kitchen features granite counter tops, custom cabinetry, beautiful stainless steel appliances, artisan tile back splash, and solid oak floors, harmoniously tied together with a sleek and simple contemporary design. As with most kitchens of this type, finding a way to create a functional food preparation triangle was a challenge. We solved this problem by building the oven and microwave into a floor to ceiling wall cabinet, opposite of the refrigerator; saving space and creating opportunity for more storage options. Having the oven built into the cabinet necessitated a separate range. By utilizing the galley design we were able to create a stunning range area which included a vent hood as well as a custom glass tile back splash. The end product is an elegant and functional space that is warm and inviting.
