Definitely my Go To Guy now.. found out he does a lot more than plumbing. Handyman service as well. Saved me $345 on my hot water installation and only took him less than 3 hours. Impressive

Last week I used Porch to find a plumber. I used Greg Leatherwood who runs ANYTIME PLUMBING & APPLIANCE REPAIR as he responded quickly once I posted my job on Porch and I was in a hurry as my house is up for sale. He did two jobs for me. One he completed although it took him a few visits to do so (which included replacing an exterior water spigot which he didn't bother to attach to the exterior of the home even though it works. Sloppy work). The second job however should never have been done and he should have known better. I mistakenly thought the central AC downspout located on the exterior of the house that drains the water from the Central AC unit was something in need of repair. I didn't know that it was doing exactly what it was supposed to do. I just saw a spout with water dripping out and thought it might be a problem. He told me that it was a pressure issue related to the hot water heater. He charged me $125 to replace some copper pipe assembly on the hot water heater and then, in addition, stuffed a knotted up cloth up the AC exterior downspout. (???) This caused the water from the central AC not to be able to drain and it backed up and caused my AC unit to shut off as the water drainage pan at the unit itself filled up triggering the Central AC to turn completely off. The HVAC repair tech who had to come out and an electrician who was on site for another issue both pointed out that the AC unit uses PVC pipe which comes out on the exterior where the AC downspout is, and that the Hot water heater uses copper pipe which comes out on the exterior of the house 6 feet down from the AC downspout. This should have been apparent to a "professional" who would recognize that there was no problem at all. The HVAC tech and the electrician couldn't believe what Greg had done and both called it a classic case of negligence. I have tried to text Greg and have left voice messages with him the past 5 days. He has not replied once. I also lodged a complaint with Porch who have also tried to contact him with no reply. All he had to do was contact me within a day or so and make this right. By not responding to me, I will be taking Porches advice to file a complaint with trade associations, the Better Business Bureau, the state Attorney General's office, and local and national consumer advocacy groups. If you need a reliable plumber, I would suggest looking elsewhere.
