Farmhouse South is a boutique woodworking studio that creates sophisticated, clean-lined Southern style dining tables. Each piece is handcrafted and finished for a charming, one-of-a-kind look. Furniture Designer Sam Utt-Grubb's handsome designs have been photographed with First Lady Michelle Obama, seen on the September 2011 season premiere episode of ABC's hit show Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, and featured in Entrepreneur Magazine. We believe that the iconic farmhouse lifestyle of big, airy spaces, welcoming family gatherings, and one-of-a-kind heirloom craftsmanship should be available to everyone who finds it as inspiring as we do. We draw on the strong Southern traditions of hard work, solid craftsmanship, and community service. That's why our designer was so honored to have taken part in an Extreme Makeover: Home Edition build in 2011. We're proud to be a part of North Carolina's long tradition of beautiful handmade furniture. We offer our customers unique made-to-order pieces, each of which is designed by Sam Utt-Grubb and guaranteed to be made of high-quality wood and finished with your choice of elegant antiqued glazes. We're famous for our solid wood dining tables and have created them for hundreds of happy customers including a CNN executive, Caribou Coffee, reality television stars from NBC's The Biggest Loser, and a Trump Tower resident.
