MOUNTAIN VISTA BUILDERS

They deserve no stars but if 1 is the lowest I can rate. We had our home built by Mountain Vista builders in El Paso, TX back in 2004 had upgraded our home to tile roof and paid more of course, only to have leaks and water damage all over. We hired a contractor to look at the roof and he found that the roof was not made correctly. They had built fake vents throughout the roof, vents that needed to be there to allow moister to escape from the attic and since they were fake then we have so much damage to the walls and roof. Rotted decking and to top it off they had put so much newspaper wadded up all over the roof to fill in gaps. I have pictures and video to prove it. I don’t know how our house passed inspection. The pillar that hold the 2 bd floor is not being properly supported and created so much rot that it could have collapsed. As a home owner you trust that the house you’re buying is done correctly and safely: no way would we have known what they did to the roof and the rest of the house. My floors upstairs were pitching up because they were not leveled and the trash we found behind the fireplace along with installation material on top of the fireplace that could be caught on fire. Ridiculous. I will be making a call to the city to see how in the world was my house passing inspection with all this that was uncovered. If you buy a home from MVB or anyone I would hire your own inspector to come verify that it’s up to code and approved. Not trusting that the people building your house is not cutting corners.
