CMS Construction LLC

Charles Black is a con. He seems like the nicest guy, gets you to sign a contract with no dates, asks for a huge deposit, starts the job just to get the next payment, then never comes back. He is under state review and legal action has been filed against him. I know of 4 people he has stolen money from.

Took our money and ran. Everyone MUST get a complete date on the contract to have an easier go of it in court. Charles black came out and did an estimate, I had done a lot of research and received several quotes and his price was middle of the road but I thought that the company was well rated. HOWEVER CMS Contractors LLC stole the name CMS from a very highly rated construction compay in virginia that is about 80 mileso from Fairfax Virginia. So, it turns out that almost all research that is positive is actually about a different company. 2 months after handing over $2700 deposit for a walkway we have nothing and the guy is in the wind. Materials were supposed to arrive in 1-2 weeks nothing. A million calls and emails, nothing. This "one weekend project" is now every home owner'should nightmare. He seems so nice, well spoken, I chose him above the rest because he really seemed to be detail oriented and I got a great vibe from him. BOY I WAS SOOO WRONG! DO NOT USE A CMS CONTRACTOR WITH CHARLES AND SUSAN BLACK!

DO NOT USE....very unprofessional and have failed to complete our deck in almost a year. Hired CMS contractors about a year ago in the summer of 2015 to build our deck. Paid them a substantial amount. It is a year later, the summer of 2016 and our deck is still a construction zone. They ran out of money, we have provided them loans to purchase supplies with the hope that they will finish the job, but they still fail to show up to work and finish our deck. We have been incredibly understanding but are still stuck trying to get these folks to finish our deck. Suing may be our only option but they don't have any money so unlikely that option will make us whole. The only thing we can do is warn others not to use them.
