MD Donohue Asphalt Paving and Seal Coating

MD paving works half of the year in CO and half of the year in TX. My experience was in CO in July, 2016 - with this business - and has been an expensive nightmare since the beginning. I hired them to – specifically and explicitly – widen the top of my driveway. From our first phone call, the owner anxiously explained that he had a bunch of asphalt that he needed to lay down TODAY and he would give me a “great deal” if he could come TODAY. I explained that I did not need my entire driveway paved – just the top expanded. I also explained that he would need appropriate machinery to widen the top (break into rock, etc.). He assured me that he understood, that they would widen per my request, and also honor the price promise. Long story short – he never widened the top per my request (see pictures on yelp). Instead, they dumped the asphalt they needed to get rid of on top of my perfectly fine driveway. They also hit and exposed a gas line – never called for a locate nor did they repair the (hazardous) damage they did (see pictures on yelp). And: they illegally dumped piles of asphalt on my and my neighbor’s yard (see pictures on yelp). Then – he had the nerve to call and complain that I did not pay him what was due (when I have a signed contract and a cashed check for the amount we agreed and signed for). MD then promised to come pick up the asphalt they illegally dumped and also put a top coat on my driveway for free to remedy some of the damage they did. Despite these promises, and numerous calls for them to remedy the situation: they NEVER picked up the asphalt they dumped, NEVER covered the exposed gas line, NEVER applied the top coat… instead: they skipped town and went to Texas for the winter. Stay away from this awful business. I have pictures, a cashed check, and a contract to support this complaint.
