Franks Boyz

Jay Franks is an unskilled handyman and a real crook... do not hire to avoid being scammed by Franks Boyz like I did. When we hired Jay to build a custom locker/cabinet in our hallway he said he was skilled and able to do the job. Upon paying him a $1000 deposit and materials fee to initiate services, he claimed that the funds were not received and then asked for a check in the same amount. I re-sent him funds with the understanding that he would reimburse the original amount, but he kept both amounts ($2000) even though half of it was unauthorized. He is a thief. He doesn't even do the work himself, he has an unskilled teenager do his demo work, who as a result poked holes in my walls and broke hung photo frames. As for his cabinetry work, Jay was able to frame the cabinet (albeit crooked), but after almost 2 months gave up on the doors and did not complete the job. He initially offered to pay to have pre-fab doors installed, but has never done so. He is unreliable, showing up to work as he pleases, has no sense of urgency, and his work ethic is mediocre at best. He is unresponsive to my legal requests and I would urge you not to hire him.
