Carlos did the fire place with tiles at my house. At first I was hesitating, but he said to pay him after he finished the job. I wasn’t in a hurry with my project, so when he was available during the weekends he sent his worker to do the job and he would visit as well to look over the project. He is a fast learner because he followed my plan to make the fireplace according to my taste. I bought the supplies and he did the labor. Overall, it came out pretty nice, and affordable. I do recommend him as a handyman to do the job as long as it’s not a rush job.

I must say, I am thoroughly disappointed with the service. First the work was to start Saturday December 12, 2020 at 10 am. At 8:09 am I received a text from Carlos stating he will be there Sunday 12/13/20 at 10am. Work was started Sunday however only four cabinets were put up they were level no uneven doors, however I requested the cabinet to be higher they were there for only 2hours. After stating I want the cabinets higher, Carlos and the worker packed up. Carlos verbally reported he will return Monday 12/14/20 between 4:30 and 5pm before leaving my house. December 14,2020 at 3:43pm, I received a text message from Carlos asking if I have the crown moulding, and when informed I will get them today, he reported you will be present December 15,2020 at at 4:30pm. I in turn agreed that will be best. Due to no show and no call on December 15,2920 I called left a voicemail message at 5:16pm. Prior to calling I sent two text message via phone and one via porch.com, at 5:22pm Carlos reported you forgot because today was his birthday and he had family over, he then stated he will come tomorrow afternoon, if the weather is bad you will come Thursday. In which I replied Friday morning will be better. Carlos replied "No problem I will be there". December 18 arrived and I texted to confirm you were coming in the morning at 8:52am, you reported you Will be there by 1pm as you were cleaning up your shop as it was a lot of snow. Then at 12:47pm Carlos sent the following text : "Hi Stacey very sorry my guys live my tools uncover in my back yard , and we still cleaning them , will be there tomorrow to finish everything at 9 .30 am" At 12:58 I replied " This is becoming really inconvenient. I can't keep putting my family on hold. I have other work to do that's being held up because my cabinets were not installed. What should be a one-day job is taking what seems like forever. This is not good" Carlos responded " Tomorrow I'll be there and finish up Stacey" Carlos arrived Saturday December 19,2020 with the same helper. I informed Carlos that I wanted the cabinets three inches higher and explained again how I would like the cabinets attached. Carlos received a call and then informed me he will be backed in 25 min. He returned with a different worker with him. Then Carlos left my house. The worker that was present did not understand when I told him the cabinet is not level as the doors were uneven, this was not uneven when the first guy installed the cabinet. Carlos returned, when I explained that the cabinet was uneven Carlos reported. "That's because these cabinets are from China". I reported it doesn't matter where the cabinets came from they should be even. If they are even and level on the ground they should be even and leven on the wall. Carlos and his worker again packed up their things. Carlos told me he like to make his customers happy and he knows how I want the cabinets put up but he was not prepared to that when he took on the job and added his workers don't know how to do the job. Carlos told me he will have to do the job himself and will bring his brother in law to help him. Carlos reported he will come Sunday morning at 10am to do the cabinets. December 20,2020 Carlos sent a text message at 9:35am " Good morning Stacey , will be there tomorrow morning , sorry but I have a ton of things to do with my kids today Tomorrow Monday 10.30 am sharp" I then replied "That's ok you don't have to return. I do the job myself. I took off today already from work can't take off another day. "The workers were friendly, The service offered is truly ridiculously unprofessional, it is expected for a hired person to have the tools needed for the job they are taking on shims, a saw, a level especially from someone who has 14years of experience. More is expected. After review of one of my cabinets installed with the uneven doors one of the screws broke to the touch fell off in my hand. The first worker Carlos brought to do the cabinets did a good job the cabinets were low and the connections needed to be better secured with wood biscuits to maintain the space and level of cabinet, it is unfortunate his workers are not able to do this. I just hope Carlos does a better job with other customers and doesn't give them the run-around excuse after excuse for good work to be done. Hopefully this helps someone looking into this company. Carpentry and Millwork should not treat people like this.

The owner of this company is a liar. He was supposed to paint my kitchen cabinets in a week. Everyday he keeps lying and switching the dates. He had my cabinets for 6 weeks and didn't finish the job. I was afraid that I was gonna loose my cabinets. I asked him to bring them back finish or not, which he did. I gave half the money thank God. Now I have to look for someone else to finish the job. I will not recommend this guy to anybody. Don't say that I didn't warn you guys!!! Stay away from this company.

My name is Anilkumar Patel and the guys from Carpentry & Millwork did an amazing job installing the molding in my house in Hicksville, and I could not be happier with the work they did. It was very well done and they are fantastic person to work with.
