Icon Roofing & Construction, LLC - TERMINATED!!! Dana Gregory may be a roofer, but is a horrid, dishonest, business person & contractor. Icon has now been terminated for abandoning my project (read details below). The city of Frisco Permit Department states that a permit for my new roof was not even applied for prior to the installation of shingles. This contradicts written communication from Dana Gregory to me on 03/13/19 that he had already received the permit. The fencing permit was never applied for at all, leaving one with the impression that they had no intention of installing a new fence. Dana was instructed by me in writing, that no work was to be performed by any of crew without me being present. I have since photographed where they trespassed on my property & attempted to "band-aid" the pitiful construction of the garden window. The yard gate was padlocked, so obviously the fence was jumped. Frisco Police has been notified and neighborhood cameras are monitoring my property for further trespass violations. I have been waiting since April 1st for my exterior painting, gutters, new garage door, chimney repair, garden window repair, new fencing, foundation repair, window sealing & caulking, & more. New roof was installed on 03/14/19 & they were told then that I needed a two-week break until April 1st to continue the project due to my busy schedule. I agreed that I could wait a short period of time while they took care of some emergency Roofing from the hail storm the third week of March.... it's been over a month now. They were to completely rebuild my chimney and a garden window and instead placed only trim wood which was inferior quality with split wood & knot holes, and then used round headed screws instead of flat nails or flat headed screws so that the paint could cover the area. The top of the chimney is set completely crooked and needs to be redone as well as the entire chimney. The cracks in my cream colored Decorative Stone on the front of my house was not repaired with tan grout, but with a silver resin which of course looks ridiculous and needs to be redone as well. The crew tore additional screens & broke exterior light bulbs. They have yet to have a return numerous phone calls, emails or texts to simply let me know when the crew was to be scheduled to come back out and finish my project. Sandra in his office was notified numerous times by email & phone and stated that Dana received my communication but was choosing to not respond. I informed Sandra & Dana weeks ago that my gutters were urgent to be put on as it was causing severe water intrusion on windows & French patio doors... still no response from Dana or concern for my home's issues. What a terrible way to do business. Additionally, my neighbor was to meet with Dana Gregory regarding work and after several attempts of getting no response - my neighbor gave up after 2 weeks of waiting. After viewing on social media my concerns on the delays, Dana texted me 2 nights ago with no comprehension as to why I was dismayed since I stated I could wait a bit time for the completion....apparently thinking he could do all the larger jobs & get back to my "small project" at his convenience. He refused to set a timeframe for the crew to return. Dana's written communication stated he would do ALL work, and at COMPLETION he would accept whatever amount my insurance company agreed to pay. He had the nerve in his text 2 nights ago to ask for money now. Seriously??? They need to learn how to follow their own written communication. I have to book off time from my own Interior Design business (that I have owned for 30 years without a complaint), to be home for repairs & don't appreciate the lack of professionalism. He has only had his OWN business for less than 2 years and has a lot to learn about business owner practices. Right now he is running with Scissors and has the "me, myself and I" mode going full bore. Karma will follow his Irresponsible actions.
