I had to hire a lawyer to save myself from paying this company over $3000. Avoid them at all costs. I was living in one of their units (305 Oakwood Street-Apt 3 High Point, NC 27307) and my apartment was broken into, and the neighbors had threatened me bodily injury. This breaches any lease, considering the signer does not have a safe place to live. I had reached out to Marathon for a month and a half prior a total of 3 times about issues with the neighbors, they chose not to respond. The woman across the hall was attacked and beat. I ultimately had to move out and physically went down to the Marathon office and was told that if I did not pay the next 6 months that it would be sent to collections. I hired a lawyer, then they hired a lawyer. It went back and forth about a year and then they dropped the case. I never got my deposit back, or half the month back for the one I paid but actually didn't live there, my moving costs, or difference in rent for having to move to a higher cost apartment in Greensboro so quickly. DO NOT RENT THAT APARTMENT! Again, it is 305-3 Oakwood Street High Point NC 27407. It is dangerous and Marathon does not care about your safety, they only care about money.
