Debra & Jose wanted something special. She wanted top of the line Carriage Doors with ornaments and a wood grain look. She also wanted to replace her old Genie screw drive openers. One went berserk and bent the top glass panel. This is what prompted her search for better doors. Her original doors were original to the house, 20 years old. Debra opted for Carriage style doors without the glass. She also wanted them painted to look like wood grain and she wanted some iron cosmetic pieces (hinges and handles). We also replaced her old style noisy Genie screw drive garage door openers with new Lift Master Belt Drives with battery back up and MQ technology...the type you can check status and control the door with your smart phone or computer. We installed all new track and hardware including new exterior weather stripping to keep out mother nature. The new doors came in white so we had John Howard owner of GP Contracting to paint the doors with the Faux finish to look like wood grain doors. She said we exceed their expectation. I was very proud of this job.

Jaime, a friend from my kids soccer team had just moved in but could only open her garage doors about 3/4 of the way. Here old Genie openers were pressed up against a large support beam running down the middle of her garage door ceiling. The previous installer had cut the Genie rails down to fit in that spot. I recommended going with Lift Master 3800 Jack-shafts. These units mount directly onto the torsion tube and mount on the wall next to the garage door when its closed and have some special safety features should a spring break. These are made specifically for when the garage has limited and low overhead space or when there.s a giant beam in the way. I installed one on each door. They come with wireless mounted lights and MyQ technology which allows her to download an app from the APP Store and control or monitor the status from her garage doors. The systems turned out to be very quiet, opens the doors fully and got rid of all the unsightly opener, rail and angle iron in the ceiling. I only wish I had pictures her to show you the final product. Needless to say she was blown away!
