AM Appliance is the most unprofessional and unqualified appliance repair company. The Technician sent had no idea what he was doing. The Tech was on the phone with his boss walking him through how to evaluate the systems they were supposed to assess. The Tech needed to pull out the wine fridge to evaluate the problem. I explained to him that if he pulls the wine fridge out, he will scratch my floors. I asked if he brought anything to protect my hardwood floors so that he doesn't scratch my floors when he pulls the cooler out. His reply was NO. He asked if I had a towel. So I went to get a towel, and in less than 30 seconds, I was back. The Tech had pulled the wine cooler out without any protection scratching the floors. I asked him why he did that, and he said he didn't think it would scratch the floors. Since the Tech was unqualified, his supervisor was giving him step-by-step instructions over the phone. Why is there a tech on the job getting instructions over the phone? The next system was my stovetop. The Tech said he didn't bring the correct tools to remove the burners and asked me if I had a coat hanger. He used the coat hanger to "Clean" the stovetop. He was unsuccessful cleaning the stovetop with a hanger, so he decided to try a drill bit he found that "might work." He didn't lubricate the screws. He just torqued the screw, and it broke. He called his boss to tell him what happened. He repeatedly used the N-word, saying, " 'N' I just broke this screw; I am scared to do the other one cause I don't want to cause more damage. 'N' these screws are all rusted. What am I supposed to do?" He decided to try the other screw, and that one snapped in half too. He called his boss back, and his boss said to let the warranty company figure it out. So we move to the 2nd-floor fridge, where he doesn't know how to evaluate the refrigerator. He calls his boss, and they decide to say it's the condenser and fan without actually pulling the system out and checking it. The Tech said, "Don't worry, the Warranty company will replace everything. It just sucks for us because we get paid less and in some cases don't get paid at all if we can't fix it and it has to be replaced." So he didn't even evaluate the system just went upstairs and looked at it. The Tech then tries to charge me 3 deductibles for one trip, which is not in my contract. I called the warranty company, and that is when the Tech backed down. He calls his boss, but his boss declines my call and tells his Tech to go get wood polish to fix the scratches. I told him polish isn't going to fix the gouges he created by pulling out the cooler without protection. He said he was doing his job and that it needed to be pulled out to be evaluated. I said yes, it did, but I went to get you a towel, and in less than 30 seconds, you pulled it out without protection after we just talked about what would happen if you did that. He admitted it was a bad judgment call and that the only thing his boss was advising was to polish the floor. I said you can get the polish if you want, but that will not fix the scratches. So he goes to home depot to buy wood polish, and he works hard to polish the floors, but since the wood has been gouged…the polish doesn't work. I told him to call his boss about the scratches. He steps outside and calls his boss. He came back and said, "My boss cannot talk to you about the scratches, and the only thing we can do we've already done. Polished the floors." I told him that is unacceptable and He needs to file a claim on his insurance to pay out for the damage caused by his team. He said he would have his boss contact me. I tried to call several times, but they have denied my calls. I highly recommend NOT USING THESE CROOKS.
