Total Tree Service

I received a written estimate from Total Tree in October 2020 for the removal of two large oak trees and the pruning of two additional oaks. Dan did the estimate and remained my point of contact throughout. I was happy with their quoted price and scheduled the services for December. The scheduling process was a bit awkward. I had to do everything thru text to Dan and it took awhile to get a date scheduled. Then a few days prior Dan called and said they had to cancel and would reschedule. After this I heard nothing till I reached out in February. With the severe winter weather I was told they couldn't do the work yet. I reached out again in mid March with no reply. I finally go ahold of Dan at the end of March and he gave me a lame excuse about their bucket truck being broke and they didn't know when it would be fixed so I should "probably find someone else to do the work" Unfortunately after waiting 4 months for them the trees are now going to start sprouting leaves meaning I'll have to wait till next winter to find someone else to do the pruning. This puts my house and fence at risk of damage from the dead limbs for another 8+ months. From interactions with Dan I had a suspicion he felt he under quoted my estimate. Instead of just being a professional and telling me they couldn't do the work, or saying the price would be higher, I believe he just strung me along, with no intent to actually do my services, in hopes I'd just give up and stop calling. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, even if they seem great at the estimate and give you a price is good.
