Eagle Painting Company

First, I'm very thankful for the opportunity to express my concern. I've reached out to the BBB for assistance, so please stay posted. Gary Koen and Eagle Painting have several public reviews on Google, Yelp, and another Facebook account that detail the same type of scam that Gary tried on us, which will be on record with the BBB. I have emails to prove Gary's promised completion date of three days, even though we added work, which Gary was delighted to accept. Once we paid Gary the initial $5,000, the Eagle Painting crew basically disappeared. I also have several emails to from Gary promising new completion dates, since multiple others kept passing by. I had to reschedule a real estate listing multiple times during the prime season in the summer because of this. Fortunately, the home has since sold, but Gary tried to place a bogus M&M lien against the title. He even went so far as to say that he personally knows the police chief and mayor, etc. -- just a bunch of cons and lies, unfortunately. My realtor can confirm this, and I have emails, all of which will be on record with the BBB. Gary's crew foreman, Blake, advised me that Gary wasn't paying them and that things were difficult. This comment is also publicly documented on Google reviews by Blake himself, saying, "He doesn't pay his guys! Do not work for this guy!" The only work Eagle completed was shotty, I have hundreds of photos to prove it, and I finally had to fire Gary three weeks later. I had the work completed by others, and I have dated invoices/receipts that will be on record with the BBB. Even though Gary was given a key, his guys broke in through the laundry room window to just hang out and smoke marijuana -- unbelievable! I found out when my neighbors reported it, contacted me, and gave witness testimony, as recorded on the KPD police report, which will also be on record with the BBB. Gary Koens's Eagle Painting website is now removed, please beware. As one consumer to another, avoid doing business with Gary Koen and Eagle Painting.

WARNING, Eagle painting is a crooked contractor! We hired Gary base on phony reviews (hindsight = 20/20). We were planning to list our home on the following weekend that Gary estimated the job. He quoted completion of work in three days, so we paid the first installment. Gary cashed our check immediately, and three weeks later, we were still waiting. The date they were supposed to be finished we went to meet them at our home, Gary's crew wasn't there, and our house was a complete wreck. The painting crew finally arrived around noon, and nervously began collecting their supplies (including some of mine). The crew leader informed me that Gary put them on another house. The rest only gets worse -- we ultimately missed three additional weekend listing dates, and the only progress was shoddy at best. We finally had to cut our losses and fire Eagle painting, which was difficult since Gary cashed our check. Next, we were notified by three neighbors that workers were still showing up at our vacant home and smoking marijuana in the backyard. They had broken in through the laundry room windows. We called KPD, filed a report, have the witness of multiple neighbors, hundreds of photos, and very well kept written records. From one consumer to another, please spare yourself the mess and go with another painting contractor. I'll try to post photos.
