It took me until a few years ago to find my true passion, I had managed, ran Restuarants, Sign companies, had a couple of my own but it wasn't until a life or death illness that left me with, lets say it took me awhile to find a new me. Then a few years after that another illness lead me to this love, I started tinkering with things in the garage because I would wake in the middle of the night and not wanting to wake my husband, at the time, so I would go out there and to keep my mind offf of the pain, I started off by painting a piece of furniture, then redoing a mirror, then I felt such a feeling of pleasure, I finally found something that I couldn't wait to find something to do, to learn a new technique, then I am actually a sself taught, but aren't we alll always laerning, I bet I learn something everyday if not then eery other day. I am the only one as of this point. I do bring in some help of my son and nephew when I need a mans hand, lol, they are handy when it comes to strength, lol. I'm in my 40's, never ask a lady her age. I continue to learn, grow my business, I didn't realize how big it was going to get or be, especially when at the time I started I was a newly wed and was going thru so many health problems, I still am but my work is my healing, it brings me such joy and I have a passion for creating, tryiing to figure this out or get this to go, I never knew was in me. I stated as a home decor, then I want bigger, I am working on growing bigger, I am a DIYher, everything I sell, I handmade it myself, I created it myself, I upcycle, recycle, every piece you see or I have sold if there was a part that I didn't use on what I turned it into then it goes in my dawers of odds and ends, I do actually have some of them labeled, hehe, I have a strong conection with everything I do, even if it's just a simple paint job where I am just changing a color, so simple right? I get connected to my work, I put my heart and soul in everything I do, only because I love it so much, it gives me such pleasure to know that every piece ends up having a home to have many more years to be cherrished and enjoyed. Most of my home decor pieces like the signs I make, most people see a sign, they don't know that it used to be the side of a dresser drawer before it was this beautiful sign. I love vintage, rustic pieces, taking a piece of furniture that no one wants and refurbish it and bring it back to life, the feeling, of how it has been waiting for me to come recue it from the fire and turn it into a beautiful new piece that has many more years left to be apart of a home again! So about my skills huh? I can work with any kind of general tools such as saws, yes, there are a few different kinds, I didn't know that until I got into this, lol, I hope you don't want me to list all the tools I know so let my work speak for itself. I am always here for my customers, I stand behind everything I do, or I won't do it if I don't think Its something I can do with passion. Stay Colorful! DianaLeyh

Diana takes "outcast" items that most people consider trash and turns them into wonderful treasures! She's puts her touch on them with inventive and new found ideas! With that much thought and love into items or furniture restored, you can't go wrong with her design esthetic! Personally, I love it!

French Provincial 6 Drawer Dressser | Mar 2016 | I purchased this dresser of an add, It was in bad shape, some of the drawers needed fixing, it was covered in scratches, nicks, so the first thing I did was strip it down, sanded entire dresser, the drawers. Then I needed to fix the ones that were broke, replace a couple of the drawer slides, which are all wood so that took sanding them down to fit the already other half that went under the drawers. I made my own chalk paint using good ol' Calcium Carbonate and a cool minty color from the valspar collection. I wanted to add some detail, to bring your eyes to some bling so I did the top in a stain, dark walnut, added a metalic silver to the parts of the dresser that I felt would give the eye an AWE feeling so here's the finished dresser, I just was so excited to start this, I forgot to take a picture of it before I sanded it down but I'm sure you can see from the picture after sanded. I hope it catches your AWE, except the pictures you can't see the shimmer from the metalic silver so thats a bummer but it's beautiful | $500 | Knoxville, TN
TV entertainment center, turned into kitchen hutch | Feb 2015 | I Love the look of rustic and vintage So I find pieces of furniture that most think its lifespan is up and I bring it back to a new and more beautiful version. I took this entertainment center, no one uses these anymore because we all went to flat screens, I put my love of shabby chic and added a shelf, used aluminum wavey roofing for the back, and did a chalk paint and now it is ready for a new beginning as a hutch, kitchen cabinet, I think it could actually work in almost any family, living, even in a big entry way but that could be because I love what I do and love the pieces I do, I spent more time then usual on this one piece only because of the opening it had where a tv used to go, adding the shelf made the difference but it took me about three weeks and I was walkibg through a home improvement store and seen the roofing aluminum and it hit me, that was what I been waiting for to make it complete. I picked this piece up at a thrift store for about 25.00, materials cost me about $150.00, $200.00 and some hours of elbow grease and love and it was complete. Now its a beautiful piece that I think will be hard to let go being I poured my heart and soul into it that I hope whoever chooses to buy it, will see the love in it! | $800 | North Las Vegas, NV
1950's Round table with metal claw feet | Mar 2015 | I got this beautiful table from a thrift store, I spent about 20.00 for it and in its condition, is why people just kept passing it buy. I did what I love and I brake it down and rebuild it back up to a new and fresh table. It had plenty of damage but like most, with my love of what I do, I turned it into a shabby chic table with a touch of a parisian twist. I used chalk paint, sanded it to give it that shabby feel and used a silver metal paint around the center going bbc.cos around and on the claw feet to maje them stand out. Can't wait, I found another simular and doing something totally different, I could redo this one because I seen one like it and I feel in love with the design so I got real lucky to have found one close enough that I could do the other table I just got, just needs much more work due to not being taken care of. Watch for that one in the next few days, hehe!! | $225 | North Las Vegas, NV |
