Expert Lamp Repair & Restoration

TERRIBLE. After 7+ weeks, I fixed my lampshade myself with $2 in materials from Michael's. It's a simple, cylindrical crocheted lampshade. I dropped it off before Thanksgiving. It just needed a new semi-opaque insert since the original flexible plastic insert had cracked. I should have known it was a bad sign when they said they would "see if [they] could fix it" and would call me, despite showing me they had the same raw material to replace what was cracked. They never called. Over the course of 7+ weeks, I called them 3 or 4 times to check in. I was variously told: --they were still determining if they could fix it --it was fixed and ready to pick up (but no, they "confirmed" a different name and phone number--not even the same area code and the name wasn't remotely close to mine) --they weren't sure what happened and would call me back (they didn't) When I finally went back to recover my lampshade, it was still sitting on their counter exactly where they'd put it when I first came in, with a tag with my name and phone number written on it. *Edit* -- WOW. This place has a 5 star rating on yellowpages.com. There's only one review. It's the owner. "Eugene R." He gave himself 5 stars.
