Taking your attic as wasteful trash heap. Giving you space that is useful, safe and efficient. In this, setting example to all that work which has lasting cost results must be done by caring, kind people, required and rewarded by you, to not miss needed repairs, to not skimp on insulation, and to prove what they have done as part of the record of the value of your house.

Bob L.
We have Phil do several projects over the years and he always does a great job. He is careful, plans things out, and does an incredibly thorough job, all within specified cost, which is genuinely reasonable.
Phil is a meticulous perfectionist, who goes way beyond expectations, and yet charges an almost embarrassingly small amount, considering the many hours he puts in. He is a pleasure to have around, and explains in great detail what he proposes to do. He is a man of scrupulous integrity---he found an 1882 silver dollar on one of the roof beams, and refused to keep it even after we offered it to him.

Multnomah Village Gas Furnace Ducts Replacement, A 2007 Home | Nov 2014 | Replaced furnace plena and all crawl space connections of a HVAC flexible duct system built with large leaks and excessive flow resistance. | $3k | Portland, OR
Full Cover Attic Floor | Oct 2013 | Attic typical of 80% in USA needing much more than added insulation. Here 33% of energy savings that result, are from other than adding insulation, and those savings would be prevented for decades by prevalent careless weatherization. Unique project elements are structural repair of defective 2x4 framing, and elimination of squirrel and mouse access. | $4k | Portland, OR
90% Of Savings From Attic Floor Sealing | Apr 2013 | Total attic cleanout to abate vermiculite and open soffit vents, where all found insulation, stapled up on joists, was ineffective. 90% of achieved $737 per year savings are from other than adding insulation. This is presented nationally as an example to weatherization sponsors, that insulation must follow ALWAYS, repair of problems that are covered by insulation. | $5k | Damascus, OR
Dosch Attic | Jan 2013 | The found attic was generally inaccessible, and this was a factor in its generally-uninsulated condition. Full access had been gained temporarily during a remodel, then blocked to conceal failure of any new weatherization. The new access was prerequisite to all other achievements, involving two custom-designed attic ladders. | $12k | Portland, OR |
