Independent Construction

Horrible horrible experience. He brought an inexperienced crew that he had basically met in a parking lot when he went to get a tire changed (this is what he told me!) and then was gone most of the time. I discovered a code violation and the lead and his son actually tried to talk me into accepting it because "everybody does it that way". My $50K project was constantly screwed up by a rotating crew of different inexperienced people. It took 10 months to build a DECK. And I finally told them to not come back. I was tired of the continual stream of mistakes and BS. He may do good work alone, but Charles does NOT know how to run a crew. They fed him BS and he parroted it to me. He didn't get a permit during the whole 10 months or even start one. Now it's done and still no permit.
