Simon Electric, LLC were called out yesterday for an🆘emergency runway lighting diagnostics and repair at this private runway in Delray Beach (after another electrician wanted this customer to completely remove and replace the lighting system which would have resulted in weeks if not months of unnecessary downtime). Simon Electric has specialty equipment as well as knowledgeable, experienced electricians and with five of our men, we were able to have this lighting system operational the same day! Now🛩️airplanes will be able to🛬land safely during periods of darkness or restricted visibility conditions.

How's this for⏳pressure? Simon Electric, LLC were called on to install new grounding for🚁Black Hawk helicopters as per Department of Defense specs and standards. The helos couldn't come in the hangar until we installed and certified the ground points and there was a risk the brand new helos (each with a price tag of $10.2 million) could be damaged if a🌩️storm came in while they were outside on the flightline. The rating for inside the hangar for black hawk grounding is under 3 ohms of resistance and the rating for the flight line under 4. We had to pound several 3/4" ground rods in a grid pattern 30 feet into the earth and run #4 bare grounding wire to achieve these ratings! We accomplished our goal and within hours of delivery the helos were safely inside the hanger on a brand new, top notch grounding system to prevent static electricity from building in the fuel tanks. We also grounded the chemical storage cabinets and installed new💣explosive resistance 3 phase panels.
