Opening Up the Kitchen | Jan 2014 | For this project, we remodeled the first floor of a traditional split level home. The homeowners felt cramped in their current kitchen and were unhappy with how little the dining room was used. The solution we developed was to remove the partition wall between the dining room and kitchen. This would create the additional space needed in the kitchen while still maintaining plenty of room for a dining table. As the project developed, the front living room and foyer were also addressed to create a uniform feel throughout the first floor. | $95k | Hatfield, PA
First Floor Renovation | Jun 2013 | This North Wales Pa. residence is home to a busy family of five. Their cramped kitchen and living areas weren’t conducive to their active lifestyle. The homeowners felt they were “only really living in a small portion of the home,” and the unused space outweighed what the family did use. The homeowners’ main goals in this renovation were to redesign the first floor living space so that it could be better utilized, and also to create a space on the second floor to relax and unwind after a long day. The family was looking for a stylish yet relaxed look for their remodel, and also desired more storage space. Functionality and practicality were the two words floating around during the planning stages. With these objectives in mind, the team at Custom Craft devised a solution to repurpose existing space by redesigning the kitchen, living room, and dining room areas to improve the flow of traffic between rooms. Appliances were updated to fit the new, modern design. The first floor powder room and laundry room were also remodeled. In order to create the new kitchen, the team claimed space from the seldom used living room and front dining room. Existing walls were knocked down in favor of a more modern, open, and inviting space. | $245k | North Wales, PA
Elegant Master Bathroom | Feb 2013 | This bathroom remodel features some more contemporary design elements. Central to the design was the removal of the large soaking tub and subsequent expansion of the shower. | $42k | Lansdale, PA
Industrial Kitchen | Jan 2013 | For this themed kitchen renovation, we incorporated some design elements from the Steampunk genre with a nautical twist. Think Jules Vernes's "Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea". The project features copper piping & trim, stained oak cabinetry, tongue & groove wood ceiling, and granite countertops. We also included numerous smart-house technology features (lighting, audio, & more) controlled by the built-in, touch screen computer above the sink. | $80k | North Wales, PA
Accessible Bathroom | Apr 2012 | As a Certified Aging in Place Specialist, we create accessible bathrooms which allow homeowners to live independently and comfortably in their own home. This project, for a homeowner with “Lou Gehrig’s” disease, earned Custom Craft Contractors the coveted NARI Contractor of the Year award at the local and regional levels in the Bathrooms Under $30,000 category. | $30k | Hatfield, PA
A Welcoming Family Room | Jan 2012 | For this family room renovation, we removed the old dated brick wall and installed new built-in cabinetry. Decorative crown molding, custom lighting, and stacked stone facing give the room a more up-to-date look. | $16k | Blue Bell, PA
A Basement Fit for Entertaining | May 2014 | Our clients approached us about finishing the basement of their Schwenksville home. The Custom Craft Contractors team made their remodeling dreams come true with this completely tricked out, FANtastic basement. | Schwenksville, PA
Utilizing Space in the Master Bathroom | Feb 2012 | The homeowners had two primary goals for this master bathroom renovation – Create a fresh, updated look and make the layout more suitable to their lifestyle. To accomplish this, the bathroom footprint was expanded to include the adjoining dressing area. The space was designed to include an open floor plan, his & her vanities, and a walk-in shower. | Blue Bell, PA |
