Kenny’s Flooring

DO NOT HIRE KENNY COON!!! I contracted Kenny Coon the first week of June 2023 to accomplish a remodel of my master bathroom. He initially did all the things I'd expect a legitimate contractor to do: signed a contract, was responsive and on time, made good recommendations. However, things quickly began to unravel. - His initial estimate ballooned over the course of the job by 250%. - He damaged by baseboards and vanity. - He failed to properly slope and seal the shower pan, which is in a second floor bathroom. Within a month of completing the job water has leaked through to my first floor. - I have attempted to reach him numerous time. Have left voicemail and multiple texts. He has not responded in over 7 days of trying.

North Las Vegas Police Department active victim's case #230120001320. Kenneth Coon aka Kenny dba Kenny's Flooring is a fraud. He scammed us out of $5,750. He prays on seniors. He came to our home twice to measure for new floor planks. He even helped my 84yr old husband clear space in the garage for material, which he was to bring the next morning. We gave him $5,750 and he never showed up at 'Half Price Flooring'. He has not contacted me and now ghosts us. He talks like he knows his business and the love of God and country. This happened on Jan 17th 2023. DO NOT TRUST HIM OR GIVE HIM ANY $.

I would NOT recommend Kenny's Tile and Flooring Installers (or Kenny's Flooring and Tile Installers). Kenny overpromises and underdelivers. We hired Kenny to tile a shower stall and bathtub surround; build and stain two bathroom mirror frames; touch up/re-stain the cabinets in two bathrooms; and touch up/re-stain the cabinets in the kitchen. We chose Kenny because he was cheaper than the other companies that quoted us. Plus we liked Kenny. He's a very good salesman and we felt we could trust him. Sadly, by the end of the engagement we were so disappointed by the quality of the work that we asked Kenny to stop working on the mirrors and the cabinets and simply focus on the tile work. Kenny spent some time explaining how complicated it would be to set the mosaic tile (he had to charge us an extra $300 for it) but he was still unable to produce a smooth surface! The day they finished the job, they just left! I was in the house but Kenny did not tell me they were leaving. No "Goodbye", no "Thank you for your business", no "Please come inspect our work one last time before we leave"… I guess that's what happens when you pay in full before final inspection (lesson learned). He did text us afterwards and if you think the excuse of "we didn’t want to bother you" is a good one, please hire Kenny. We waited a few days for the grout to cure and when we tested the shower, we discovered that Kenny did not produce a good slope on the shower floor so water pools around the drain. We contacted Kenny to inform him of this problem and were disappointed to learn that even though Kenny was very responsive when he was trying to earn our business, he became much less responsive when we were trying to get him to fix his mistake. He said he would stop by to look at the shower floor and if you think that missing a second appointment (no call, no show), with an excuse of "I didn’t put it on schedule" is a good one, please hire Kenny. Kenny doesn’t take notes and he forgets conversations. He is very disorganized. Kenny breaks his promises. He said he would give us a receipt for some materials he purchased but he never did. He said he would reimburse us some money to pay for the cost to fix the slope on the shower floor but he never did. We kept asking for these things that he had promised to us but he decided it was easier to stop responding to our texts. So here I am writing this review to maybe save someone else from the pain of being ghosted by Kenny. BTW - We trusted NextDoor's positive reviews of Kenny but should have read other sites’ reviews (lesson #2 learned) - after reading through these reviews I found that some of Kenny's good reviews about his work were posted by his own wife! Again, this is an issue of trust. I will mention one good thing we got from Kenny: He recommended the services of Royalty Plumbing (702) 745-7909 and from KS Wholesale Corp for countertops (702) 716-4954. These two companies provide excellent service and we absolutely recommend them.

Kenny installed kitchen tile backsplash for us and he did a fantastic job He is very professional , good communicator and showed up on time We are going to hire him for out next project and I already recommend him to all my friends
