If I could give 0 stars I would. After not showing up to start the first two days on our project, he decided he didn't want to work with us last minute and **offered a refund that we haven't seen** We still have the text where he states that he would like to do so. So other than Porch's guarantee, we are out that deposit. Prior to him bailing, he questioned our finances and was just difficult to communicate with. I should've trusted my gut and found someone else sooner but he was affordable and available during our time frame. But now I get to go to small claims court and sue him for my money. EDIT: Mr. Johnson has seen this review and is promising a cash refund. I will update again if that happens.

We hired Mr. Johnson to do some remodeling. We agreed to pay for materials up front and half the labor. After initial preparations all work stopped and Mr Johnson claimed his workers were unavailable due to personal problems. After asking for the final payment for the labor which Mr Johnson said he needed to buy the materials we asked where were the materials we paid for up front after which all communication ceased and Mr. Johnson removed all his remaining equipment and from our home and did not return.
