Utah Basement Company

We had an excellent experience with Utah Basements this past year. They completed our unfinished basement with 2 bedrooms, large living area, exercise room, utility room, linen closet, under stairs closet, and full bath. They were able to schedule us immediately once we received all the bids, and the project took roughly 9 weeks from start to final walkthrough. Utah Basements was the second highest bid, partly because they did not do the flooring (which was an additional $3k through RC Willey). Communicating with Todd was very convenient, and he responded quickly to text, email, and message through the UBKB online client portal, where we formally documented design changes. Victor was on site most days and was extremely professional and very friendly. He answered all of our questions, gave helpful suggestions, and always contacted us when there was an issue or he needed direction. Once materials were in, the crew made fantastic progress framing, plumbing, and electrical. The rest of the process went very smoothly, with the minor exception that a bunch of paint touch ups were needed, but they were taken care of immediately. Overall we had a top-notch experience with Todd, Victor and UBKB, couldn’t be happier with the final product, and would definitely recommend them if you need a basement finished!

We had our basement finished in January of this year with Todd. We met him during one of my wife’s chemo treatments. He was receiving treatment as well and was so nice and friendly to everyone there that when we found out what he did for work, we had to have him out to look at our basement. Anyways, we didn't write a review initially after they were done. It didn’t cross our minds. But we had a toilet overflow last week in the basement and the baseboards had some water damage on them. We called Todd to see if he could help out and sure enough, he sent a guy out that Saturday morning to re-paint them. I had to take some time to repay him. Todd, Jen, Mario and the rest of his company are good people. We felt comfortable having them in our home. We knew money was never his bottom line. He just wanted us to be happy. We loved it when he said he’s never had a customer that he’d be afraid to run into at smiths. They created a beautiful basement for us. It wasn’t a 100% perfect process. We didn’t expect it to be. But we know the kind of trashy contractors that are out there, so we gave them some slack and they reciprocated. We are so happy we met him and so happy with their work.

Utah Basement Company finished my brand new Ivory Home basement. I was referred to them by my superintendent and later found out they have finished a lot of basements in my neighborhood. They did a superb job. They promised me 7-8 weeks to finish my 1900 sq ft and the work was completed 2 weeks late, due to my inability to finalize the design of the kitchen. Everything was within budget though and I wasn't asked to pay for anything more than what was initially agreed to. The workers were so respectful of my home and I felt comfortable enough to go visit them while they were working. I loved that they cleaned up every night. My wife and I would walk it every night and text Jen if we had any questions or concerns. Overall, I would definitely recommend them to anyone wanting a beautiful basement in their home. They are professional, creative, friendly and completely reliable. My dad, who is a retired contractor raved about their professionalism and neatness/cleanliness. Thanks again guys!

We just finished with our basement project with Utahbkb and wanted to get online to share a little bit about our experience. We were really happy with the quality of the work and the workers that were in our home. They knew what they were doing and we trusted their expertise. My wife felt safe while she was home and while they were there. The management team was really good to work with and quick to respond to our texts. We knew what to expect and when to expect it. Whenever there was a change on our part, they were patient with us and we could tell they really cared about getting it the exact way we wanted it. There was a minor delay on their part and another delay on ours (we could've been faster choosing our colors). However, we were really happy about how they worked with us and treated us fairly the whole time. And we really loved how they left the basement clean every night. We would gladly refer them with confidence.
