Lazy workmanship, I had a beam placed in the main room of a house I am remodeling. Not only did they wait until the day before the project was to start to pull the building permit (delaying the project a week to wait for the permit to be approved), they had the beam delivered in the rain (lucky my husband was there to receive the shipment) but the actual beam itself was lazily installed. The joists sagged and instead of leveling them to the beam they allowed them to sag and attached the joists below the level of the beam. This is a major issue with reinstalling drywall, one bracket went in wrong and instead of replacing it with a new bracket they smashed it with a hammer to make it flat. One joist that they had to add an extension too was actually below the current drywall of the ceiling that remained. They also framed a closet over a broken sub floor after saying they would replace the broken part before framing up the closet. When confronted with the issue (after having several drywall repair men and contractors point out the issues) he refused to admit there was a problem or fix the problem. The only thing this company does fast is cash the check.
