Our company has been dealing with Bill Long Construction for over 50 years. We deal with contractors in over 50 countries. This is a very reputable and proven company. We highly recommend them.

I would not recommend this company to anyone. I am a business owner myself and don't believe in leaving negative feedback on a company, unless their poor business practices will impact other future customers. That being said, here is my experience with Bill Long Construction. A little more than a month ago we received a quote from Bill Long to install the foundation on our home, we agreed on the price and worked with Steve and asked when they would be able to start. We were told they would be able to get to it as soon as the hole was dug. We had the hole dug a few days later and Steve was unable to get someone there immediately to start. Over the next few days we received 2" of rain followed by freeze, which prevented the install of the foundation. I spoke to Steve on several occasions on how to thaw the ground to allow us to continue and he wasn't very helpful. After a couple of weeks the weather was looking really good for the work to commence. I contacted Steve and asked him if I were able to thaw the ground would he be able to start our foundation. He told me that he could not get started that week but definitely by Monday of the following week. I paid 2 men to install tarps over the entire 2,400 sq ft area and place 3 heaters and a generator to thaw the ground. Over the next 5 days I had men return to the job site and refuel the generator and heaters to thaw the ground. On Sunday 1/31/16 I spoke to Steve and told him we were ready, he stated that he would go by and check in the morning and get started. I spoke to Steve the following morning and he couldn't make it until later that day. At 5:00pm 2/01/16 Steve called and asked to meet on site, I dropped everything to rush to meet him, we went over everything again and Steve promised to start first thing in the morning. At 8:30am 2/02/16 Steve contacted me and told us to find another company to do our foundation because that morning, the day they were suppose to start he received (5) other jobs and now was unable to get to our foundation that we had been waiting a month to get done. This company made promise after promise, cost us over a month of interest payments and addition materials and labor to thaw the ground just to tell us to find someone else. Bottom line their word means absolutely nothing. They will give you the run around, cost you money and have no regrets for the inconveniences they have caused. I recommend finding a decent reputable company not Bill Long Construction. After all of this I was able to find a company to bid the work and start the following day on our foundation. Call Mid State Forms they did as they said, no issues.
