STEVE'S HOME SERVICES LLC

We are unhappy with most of the work Steve's Home Services did for us at the end of last year. They claimed to be able to do all the things our project required, which included demolition, some construction, much sheetrocking, taping, and mudding, and hanging and placement of cabinets. The demolition when fine, but it soon became apparent that they did not adhere to industry standards. On the second to last day, the receptionist came by and looked over the job with me. She agreed that it would take several days to finish the job. But the next day, a Monday, Steve Young came in and claimed it was the last day. He then proceeded to hang a couple of upper cabinets by a single screw, install the plastic molding I told him I didn't want, and generally bustled around withiout making much improvement to the ghastly mudding and taping job. When the electrition covered the outlets, we were shocked at how badly the cuts had been made. We were literally sick with disappointment. We hired someone to try to fix all the problems at great expense. I am writing this to warn others to avoid this company. It's not only the poor quality of their work, but the company's inability to live up to its guarantee. They seem as though they want to make the client happy, but truly, they could care less once they have your money. If you do hire them, make sure you are satidfied with their work before making the final payment.

We needed someone to hook up the new washer and dryer. Steve and company did this well. We also needed a pocket door, which Steve & Co. installed in a way that is semi-functional but not quite right. It will have to be completely redone to get it working and looking good. Above all, we needed someone to construct two closets, cut a pass-through window, sheetrock, mud, sand, etc. Steve & Co. really botched this part of the job. We've had to hire someone to fix everything--and at great expense.
