ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. Please save your time, money, and furniture. I called the day before my scheduled service date, and I asked if the movers were capable of breaking down my bed, and Kevin Jefferson reassured me that I had nothing to worry about, and his guys knew what they were doing. LIES after showing up an hour late, they showed up with horrible body odor, and broke my bed frame. After all of that my wife and I were still understanding because we are all human and crap happens. My biggest issue is that after calling Kevin, he offered me a refund for the service, I Politely declined because my bed was worth more than that. He was very quick to throw his movers under the bus and speak POORLY of them. (we have it on video). After several phone calls Kevin's attitude worsened and he then yelled and hung up in my face. What business owner hangs up in your face!! Thank God we paid for insurance, because that was the only way I was able to get my bed frame paid for. DON'T BOOK THIS COMPANY

I contacted Kevin a few weeks ago based on a recommendation from a friend. We actually purchased the home that same friend lived in and she was using Kevin to move to where we are leaving. Kevin told me he couldn’t move us that far but could load us. (He moved the friend out of the house we purchased a few days before we needed to move in. We agreed on the date, time, and cost to load only. I hadn’t heard from him leading up to moving day so a text him for confirmation. He responded “9 am confirmed” On moving day, no one showed up at 9 so I called Kevin at 924, and he said they were moving slow but were 15 minutes away. At 1005, 40 minutes later, no one had arrived yet. I called again to tell him his services weren’t needed, and Kevin told me he had a flat and his guys should be there any minute. Also, asking if I could FaceTime him to show me he wasn’t lying. I still don’t understand why his guys were also late when they were in a different car. A few minutes after hanging up, I hear tires screeching and his guys are speeding through the neighborhood. They got out apologizing for being late but also stated things were confused because I didn’t book online, essentially blaming me for them being late, after booking with Kevin 2 weeks before and getting confirmation the day before. I had tie downs and blankets laid out for them to use but they did not strap down a single piece of furniture. Instead they wedged all the furniture in against each other allowing EVERY SINGLE PIECE TO BE NICKED OR SCRATCHED. Every wooded piece we own is now marked up, cracked, or chipped. They also tried to finish in record time, and were not careful with our furniture at all, bumping walls and door frames. They slid our light tan couch on its end in the truck, which turned the arm black, also without strapping it down. They also wedged a new flawless 1800$ stainless steel fridge between our washer and dryer, leaving deep scratches in the sides. They stacked dining room chairs and bar stools on top of dressers without securing them causing them to shift and get damaged in transit. They leaned all of our headboards and foot boards against one another with no blankets between them and with no straps, I am having to go to Lowe’s to buy stain to try and fix. There were also 4 blankets left that they could have used. After reading other reviews, I just hope my washer, dryer, and fridge still work since many people’s didn’t. Kevin also never showed up to the job himself, and just sent me a venmo request for the charge.

1st Family Movers were hired at last minute because the other mover that I had hired cancelled at 4pm. They arrived later than they stated and stayed 4 hours on 3/31. They caused a huge water leak which leaked below in 2 of my neighbors apts as well as my washroom. They had to have the people like roter rooter come and remove the water from their carpets. They also removed the water from my apt as well. My hoses to my washer could not be removed by their people. Once I had them removed by apt maintenance they no longer worked and were loose and I now have to replace them and the dryer duct. They broke the water line to my refrigerator stated they would repair yet have not. My water on my fridge no longer works. It did before they arrived. I paid them $240 the 1st day. They said they would come back in the morning and finish and stated they would be there at 6am they arrived at 7:03. They worked another 6 hours that day and still did not finish. I stopped paying at $480 he asked that I pay him in cash for the last $240 and stated he would give me a receipt. HE DID NOT. This is not a reputable business and I do not recommend to anyone on earth. The owner is very unprofessional and does not tell the truth. He stated he come with another guy and finish unload the 1/4 trailer and did not show up. I called and texted him and he turned his phone off. That is bad business. I have asked for at least 1/2 of my money back since they did not do a good job and has left me with 2 appliances that are no longer functioning but did before they arrived. I have to go out and buy supplies for washer and dryer and find someone to repair the waterline on my fridge. Yet the owner is upset with me. All I asked for is quality work and to get what I paid for ...with 10 hours of labor (he paid for 2 after I was milked out of $480) my entire move should of been completed. My daughters had to unload their own queen mattresses off the truck as well and my sister, myself and a friend another lady had to unload the truck of the stuff they left at my apt. I had to rent the uhaul 3 days instead of one and pay an additional day for the apartment to remove the remaining items. I should of known something was wrong when I was asked to pay in cash. My mistake for trusting Family First Movers. Don't make the same mistake I did. ...find a professional company that cares about the customers and their belongings. This is not the company that cares . Also check out the (F) on the BBB. It's all about making money not customer service. You live and you learn. You try to believe people and trust them at their word then you run into companies like this that don't care. He has threatened me with a lawsuit. For what stating the truth. I did not get a quality job done. Save yourself some stress and find someone else. I repeatedly asked them to bring down the heavy stuff and they would bring down small boxes. I had to specifically request big items to get them to bring them down. One mover became angry and started handling my daughter's furniture roughly and no longer responding to me when I asked him questions. He said according to the boss guy that he felt disrespected? Really I said you broke my fridge. Well they did so what am I supposed to say??? My 8 year old daughter started bringing down her own stuff because they would not bring it down. She repeatedly asked them to not leave her princess castle and it was stated ok lil lady. Guess what they lied about that too. We had to go back Monday and pick it up along with everything else they left at the apartment. Who lies to a child about something like that? Why. They were paid $480 and $120 supposedly by boss guy and for 10 hours of work and they still weren't done. How much he want to be paid $1000. Bad business practices. DO NOT USE FAMILY FIRST MOVERS MEMPHIS TN. Actually I give them zero stars.
