Doing construction is a headache. Doing construction during a pandemic is insane. Doing it with technion construction was an absolute nightmare. LONG story short. A 14 week additon turned into a 8 month still only framing job. Day one they broke our main water line with the promise to fix it. 8 months later it still wasn't fixed and now on our dime to fix since we have extinguished the contract. We understood covid, shortages and spikes in cost. We tried keeping the faith and trusting the professionals. Tried giving grace and leeway and compassion because 2020 was a whirlwind for everyone. It didn't work in our favor.. They started our framing with no intention on putting a roof on it in a reasonable time frame. (Mind you, we offered them a weather break to catch up on the jobs he claimed he was behind on; with the promise they would resume April 1 FULL FORCE, it was another broken promise) so it became destroyed with PA rain. Meanwhile once we found a different contractor, with only two more crew members they ripped down, framed, roofed and shingled in 4 days. (So it wasn't out of the realm of doable in a reasonable time frame to be cost efficient) We are now working with a plumber to fix their damage and we realize technion construction starting digging the trench for our sanatation pipe sleeve...but never actually laid the sleeve so now we have to dig under our brand new footer for the plumbing. This is all just a mess. My rough draft of this review that I've been working on with full disclosure and scope of work, and things that have popped up so far that need fixed or redone or just done wrong, has far exceeded the maximum word count allowed, you can reach out to me for full disclosure.. so ill leave you with this, I'd like to believe if Jon from technion would bid correctly on a smaller scale project you wouldn't be in the same situation as us...Jon was nice, his workers were nice...but I 10 out of 10 wouldn't recommend this company to an actual friend

Please please do NOT hire Technion Construction. We hired them to put an addition onto our home. They are an unreliable and untrustworthy operation. We did our best to stick with them as long as we could for our job, and they eventually just stopped returning our phone calls and text messages, essentially walking off of our job. They left us without a kitchen for over 3 months when we were initially told that we would be without a kitchen for only 2-3 weeks. They never called the inspector to have our project inspected when it needed to be and lied to us about it (the inspector has confirmed this to us). They hired a subcontractor for our job, and very frequently gave the subcontractors issues about paying them for their work, even though we paid Technion as per our contract whenever we needed to. They also neglected to pay another subcontractor who was hired to perform a specific aspect of our project, completely ignoring the invoice sent to them, and not answering the phone when that party reached out to them. We are out TENS OF THOUSANDS of dollars. Jon Edwards, the contractor of the operation, RARELY EVER showed up to our job, usually only when we needed to give him a check. He was difficult to get a hold of, and always had an excuse of why he would not call or text us back. I would highly suggest doing a background check on him. Michael Broudy, the other owner and the man who signs the contracts, is not available to speak to anyone. We requested his number and the request was ignored. He will not communicate with you, unless there is a change order involved and he wants more money. They left us with a very unfinished project and our home is in complete disarray.
