In April of 2018 I hired JOE LINK CONCRETE CONSTRUCTION to install an aggregate drive and sidewalk for me. Not long after pouring the concrete several hairline cracks appeared. A few months later wide cracks appeared. I called John Link (the son) and he came and looked at the cracks. He said that he would fill them. I tried to get him to do this over a long period of time but he kept putting me off. So I called Joe Link and he came and looked at the cracks and said that he would fill them. He also kept putting me off and did nothing. So I tried to cover the cracks with caulk to keep them from getting worse. Less than 2 years after the concrete was poured, a piece of concrete has popped out and there is hardly any concrete covering the ground. It is supposed to be a minimum of 4 inches thick. When I called Joe Link about this he thought I was someone else and he was very friendly. When he realized who I was he hung up. I sent him a picture of this but he did not respond. Now to make this situation even worse I have learned that for new concrete to cure properly you should wait at least 28 days and when the temperature is between 40 and 80 degrees before sealing. This is written on the container their sealer came in. John Link sealed my concrete 4 days after pouring it when it was in the 30s. If you do not follow these guidelines the concrete will not cure properly and will never be as strong as it should be. Joe Link came recommended by a good friend of mine who also considered Joe Link a good friend of his. My friend has since then apologized for recommending Joe Link. I paid a high price for the professional job I thought I would get. $18,392.60. Any reputable contractor would be ashamed of this job and would make it right. It seems that Joe Link fully intends not to do what is right. He has put me off way too long.
