I don't like to write these but I can't think of any other way than to get the word out there. I don't actually use Buhrman, my neighbor does. I've spoken to my neighbors about this, but they are elderly and haven't taken any hints. I don't want to spoil our relationship. I'm guessing they don't read reviews, so here goes: Buhrman is "punctual", with machines roaring at 6:45AM Thursday, rain or shine. Every Thursday. Access: They park in front my yard. Many times with multiple trucks with trailers. The streets are plenty wide, but care must be taken when driving down the street (true of any lawn care maintenance outfit). They walk across my yard to access his even though my neighbor has an accessible driveway. When it gets dry, we don't cut our grass, so it is a bit fragile and when they track through it, it gets stomped on. I understand that they park there for convenience. They can just pull away when they are done. Performance (Quality): When they cut across the width of my neighbor's yard, they use my yard as "runoff", sometimes cutting a machine-length or more of my yard as they walk through. My yard ends up looking poor because they cut it too short. Performance (Noise): The machines: Big grass cutters, leaf blowers and edgers all going at once are extremely noisy. I think the leaf blowers are actually the worst. I know you can't do much about this, but maybe be quick about it. FWIW, the workers are not wearing any ear protection. Performance (Timing): I'm not sure on this one. My neighbor's yard is just 1/3 acre, but sometimes Buhrman takes so long that they have to take a break. I know this because they sit against the small tree in my yard, which is well inside the lot line. Multiple guys hours to cut the grass? I don't get it. I can clear my yard with a small mower in under one hour. Professional: I have spoken to Buhrman multiple times about this over the years and the response has been minimal ("We will attempt to comply..."). Summary: In the end, my neighbor's yard looks okay while mine is trampled. Look, I get it. They cut grass and sometimes they get complaints. No reason to change their process as long as there is no consequence. The people there need to eat, so they crank through as much business as they can. But we work hard on our yard too. We need to sleep and eat too. I can't think it right to chase after someone all the time to do the right thing. I can recommend Huerta Brothers. They cut my other neighbor's yards. I think they are cheaper, they do just as good a job and they aren't bad to my neighbor's neighbor (me).
