We hired Samson for redo our fireplace mantel including building custom shelves before we move into our new apartment. Aaron and his friend John came to our place to assess the work and later we sit down with Aaron to talk about design. They told us that the work will require 2 days with 2 professional. We also told them that the floor in the living room was recently refinished, so they should make sure not to cause any damages while building the shelves. They started to work and after 2 days when we came to see the progress it turned out that about 30% of the job was only done and they did not cover the floor to protect from scratches. All the cutting took place in the living room (damaging the floor). They also changed the design (meaning building the frame significantly smaller than we discussed) without notifying us that they changed the design. It took them to finish the job 1 week and they left the very day before we were scheduled to move in. The workmanship turned out very poor, they did not sand the wood (they used cheap plywood) and they used our leftover wall paint (that was stored in the apartment) to paint the shelves and frame. The finish is unprofessional and lack of any quality work, they also damaged the wall (which was also recently painted) and the crown molding (beside the floor). After we saw the work and call Aaron he refused to come to our place. He went to travel for 2 weeks and promised to take care of this issue when he is back. After 3 weeks tof moving in, he showed up today with John (although he promised that he will come with somebody else who has a portfolio and more experience to talk about how to fix this) and an electrician (Chris) and all they did was checking the outlet that John (who probably has no licence) cut in the wall. After this Aaron told us that they don't have a solution but he is going to think about it and call us this evening. Needless to say, that he did not call. I lost my trust, patience, not to mention that the cost to redo the floor will be $800 (the floor specialist came already to assess the damages) and we don't know how much we going to pay for fixing the crown molding and wall painting. I wish I could post pictures, to show what Aaron's company left us with. I think that Aaron and his company is very unprofessional, I would not recommend it.
