Very disappointed in the install of our countertops in our kitchen. My apologies in advance for the long review but maybe it will help someone else out. My mom and I found this place due to the 5star review on google. When we first arrived, the girl in the showroom was really helpful telling us about all the different stones, thicknesses, etc. We were a little hesitant about the pricing and the owner stopped by our house and mentioned that the 2cm is quite a bit cheaper and if we didn't use a CC we could get another discount. He also said the seam on the edge would not be visible. We agreed and also purchased a sink. I was, very unfortunately, gone when the installer came over. My mom said he mentioned repeatedly that his back hurt and she said he looked like he was in pretty bad pain the entire time. He finished and she didn't even check out the work, she just cut him a check so he could leave. She figured she could call if she noticed anything later. That was where she went wrong! Ever since they got our money the receptionist has an excuse of why the owner is never available to talk to us. It's really sad because my mom saved for a long time to renovate the kitchen. If you are still reading and curious, here are the specifics on what went wrong. 1. No decking was installed. We didn't even know what this was and didn't realize until a lot later when I started looking for countertops for my house in Texas and every place down here said decking is a MUST for 2cm material to prevent cracking and sagging. We have a bar/overhang that is made of two pieces of quartz and one piece is lower than the other. They put metal L-brackets below but obviously not enough. 2. Some pieces were not cut to the right size. One simple rectangular piece was cut too long and scratched the wall where the built in oven is removing all the paint in a line and on the opposite side where the wall is, the cabinets below are connected to the wall at bottom and start separating from the wall as you get closer to the countertop. Like a growing crack. Another piece next to the fridge (also surrounded by a wall) scraped all the paint off there. Paint was annoying but not as bad as the other issues. Another piece around the sink was cut too short (sink has two pieces joining right at the middle) and the behind the sink looks normal, but the front of the sink (apparently) had a large gap between the quartz pieces and the installer gobbed a huge amount of the sealant they use at the seams to fill the gap. It is not attractive at all. 3. Seams on the edge show, although this is not a huge deal, it is definitely not invisible like we were made to believe. 4. Trim from below the bar area was removed and taken with the installer. They could have removed the trim without damaging and we could have reinstalled, but my mom didn't even notice they took it and now there is just unfinished raw drywall below the bar countertop. 5. Above the dishwasher, there is supposed to be a piece of wood glued to the bottom of the countertop to screw in the dishwasher to keep it from tipping when the door is opened. They did not do this and the dishwasher just tipped forward! I am glad my mom did not get hurt. I fixed this, but was frustrated because of the safety concern. Also, the dishwasher has cabinets on one side and just a wall on the other. The gap between the cabinets and the dishwasher is even from top to bottom, but the other side is small on the bottom and gets larger as you get closer to the countertop. Another increasing gap! Apparently when the old countertop was removed and no decking was installed, this wall was flexible and was not secured to the correct part of the underside of the counter and is now not straight up and down. I would love for the owner to contact me or my mom (our phone number and address was provided to the receptionist multiple times). I will update this review if I hear anything. Until then, just be cautious when spending any large amount of money!
