My Review of DelGrippo Builders: IF reviewed based on the Amish framers l would say well done BUT.. this builder has an Unprofessional Broker and has NO Quality Control! The 2nd floor hallway bathtub is defective with a crack in center and squishy sounds if you step into it as if there is water beneath the tub and he would NOT replace it! Did not even come out to look at it! The master bathroom had a puddle of water after a heavy rain storm so either the window is installed incorrectly or the siding fascia was done wrong. This of course left water marks on the drywall beneath window and inside window frame. They never came out after telling them. Electrical, installation of fixtures, vanity, master bath upgraded lighting installation, incorrectly placed kitchen recessed lighting, cabinet hardware installed crooked and cannot be fixed without replacing cabinet doors! All add’l issues i had to pay outside contractors to correct or fix myself and considering i paid over $200k for upgrades; Not Acceptable. They don’t test the plumbing before settlement so i know of at least one neighbor that had a flood when they used the laundry machine. I’m afraid to put a washing machine in the upstairs laundry room bc of this. Luckily i had an additional 1st floor laundry room. 2nd floor laundry room was expanded and upgraded with a doggie bath but no exhaust fan was installed ( not good) and the doggie bath fixture screws are so short it falls out of the wall! I highly suggest against upgrading with this bc builder had no idea how to properly do a doggie bath! The plumber left the water pipe sitting on top of the foundation wall causing it to freeze which required hiring a new plumber to redo that pipe moving it into the interior space! Hardwood flooring has marks that look like colored permanent marker that won’t come off. These are upgraded hardwood floors throughout the house except baths. It took 2 years to finally fix the exterior siding issue. Treated like a joke & finally fixed siding after many many requests. The landscape trees keep dying so I put in about 12 additional trees with no problem but their trees still dead or dying. Obviously i would NOT recommend this builder. Just too many issues and don’t get me started on how poorly they treat women!! UNPROFESSIONAL!!! UNCARING!!! Get a good respectable lawyer/advocate before signing!!! And keep an extra $50k in case you too get ripped off and you have to repair your new build!!! Buyer beware x 10!!! Don’t be fooled by the “we care about our customers” bull… Bad enough i got ripped off! On the day of the funeral the Broker even made a terrible offensive remark after my dad passed away! Disgusting!!!! I can honestly say only one real estate agent “Nicole “ was kind and tried to help in the beginning. Expectations : They are evasive, dishonest and disrespectful on a daily basis. If you are looking for a well built stress free experience, this builder (DelGrippo) is NOT going to give you that! Update: In response to the reply from builder: No you have not tried to rectify the problems. Now even the floor in that same hall bath room is loudly squealing as if the floor isn’t supported properly around the tub area. We do use the sinks and toilet without issue so far but the (tub/shower is off limits) due to the problem. Having been treated so poorly, who would call their office to endure any more mistreatment and disrespect….If they truly cared about customer satisfaction or their reputation, they would come out & Make it Right! They were disrespectful and belittled/made fun of my situation of having lost a co-owner relative.!! Call them to endure more disrespect? They have my phone number!! By the 3rd year I have hardwood floors that cupped bad at one of the rear exterior doors bc water is seeping in and under the floor! My plan is to remove the door sill to try caulking to stop this from continuing! The other exterior rear door has constant intrusion of bugs coming in due to a gap between the porcelain floors and the door threshold/sill plate! Another repair needed to have a properly sealed exterior door! Apparently this builder doesn’t have the knowledge on how to properly install exterior doors correctly! They did come out one time for the exterior front door bc the material under the threshold was coming out . The builders son just nailed it again but it continues to try to move and it doesn’t look right! Where is quality control!!
