I made the horrible mistake of believing in John Fleming (expert level contracting owner) to take on a large garage project in May of 2019 with the promise of completion in two months after breaking ground. John finally broke ground by starting to remove the large trees in my backyard on July 23rd. My existing garage sat in an unusable state of half removed for those two months. John finally finished the tree removal and dug a hole for a footer the third week of October. At this point, he asked for more money beyond the terms of the already violated contract. I said no and instead offered him an informal month and half extension to the contract deadline. John made zero effort to even show up during that deadline extension. As it stands right now, some three months past the contracted date of completion, John has left all of his personal trash, equipment, torn up culvert, and tree trunks and limbs from the tree removal in my backyard. Sub-contractors (guardian tree service) are left unpaid by John. And John repeatedly lies about returning to finish work not completed...that is when he even bothers to respond. The value of the work currently completed is quoted less than $10,000. And I have currently paid $34,000. John Fleming agreed on 12/15/19, in writing, he owes $24,000 back to me. Four months later John has made no attempt to return that money. Beware!
