Heritage Heating & Cooling

Furnace went out on a Tuesday 1/4/22. Called 4 different places to come out Wednesday. Heritage came out and gave me a quote on a new furnace and recommended replacing air conditioning coils as well. After reviewing pricing and financing options we went with Heritage. They were able to install new furnace and coils in about 3 hrs. When it was first turned on it was vibrating, a lot. You could feel it in the walls and floor of the house. The installers said they needed to make a few adjustment. After the adjustments were made it was still vibrating. They called out another service tech, Freddie, to look at it as well. They made another adjustment to no avail. Installer said if its still vibrating call on Monday they may need to replace blower or motor. I was happy to have heat but not the vibration. It heated the house but would run for 10 min then shut off then turn on etc. Not knowing how ‘new energy efficient’ system run I didnt think about that. I called on Monday owner says he knows whats wrong and they returned on Tuesday, replace motor and blower but still had vibration. Freddie told me that their guy who gave me the quote for system got the wrong size. Too big for house so it was pushing too much and causing vibraton. He made call to boss. Boss said try one more thing. Dumb down system. Viola, no vibration. Great. 30 min later no hot air. Call them back. Owner says he knows whats wrong. Freddie now tells me their installers installed almost everything wrong. WTF. System not draing right, thermo not where it should be, venting wrong, ect. How did he figure it out? Read the install manual they gave me still sealed. Freddie says he wont leave til its right. After several more hours its all ‘right’. He leaves. Later that night i see water dripping from exhaust pipe. Ugggg. I call Wed. Owner says he knows whats wrong. WTF. I’m not happy and let him know. Figure it all out before you come and fix it today. The owner and Freddie come out and fix everything. The furnace is working but I keep thinking I should have another company check the work. It upsets me that they installed their own equipment incorrectly, quoted me and installed system that was too big and had to ‘dumb down’ It took 4 visits to fix their own problems. I will not be using heritage heating for any other projects in the future.
