INTRODUCTION We are new to Porch.com and we look forward to speaking with you about your project. Northpoint Construction Services was founded by my wife and I and incorporated in June, 2002. Our first contract was to serve as Owners' Rep on 245 unit residential development called "Northtown Village" built in the shadows of the Cabrini Green high rises while those buildings were being demolished. By that time, I had already served as project manager on many large commercial and residential projects in the Chicago area. HISTORY During our 2nd year, we rehabbed and sold 2 homes, built a 10,000sf strip mall and began remodeling and rehabbing homes for clients. In our 3rd and 4th years we built a ($1.2 million contract) LEED Certified office building while continuing to expand our residential remodeling and rehab opportunities. It has served us well, over the years, to have both commercial and residential projects. During the "down time" of the recession we began rehabbing homes and multi unit buildings with our developer partner in the Neighborhood Stabilization Program. During that time we completed the gut rehab of 4 single family homes, 2 two-flats and 2 four-flats in the "Inner City" areas of The West Side of Chicago. As the NSP was winding down, we began working for Wells Fargo Bank performing top quality rehab work on foreclosed and abandoned homes. To date, since 2011, we have completed over 40 properties and have had no call-backs or warranty issues. CURRENT OPERATIONS We now have an office staff of 4 and a field team of 6. We self-perform all carpentry, drywall, demolition, mold abatement, ceramic tile and painting. We have established close associations with many sub-contractors in our performance of roofing, electrical, plumbing, heating & cooling. THE RESIDENTIAL SIDE OF THE BUSINESS In 2010 we took on a partner to manage the commercial side of the business. My focus remains on the residential projects. I am a construction professional with over 40 years of experience as a carpenter, carpenter foreman, superintendent, project manager and business owner. YOUR PROJECT Whether you need a new kitchen or bath, a new house built, a room addition, etc., I will personally follow up with you. Once we have a clear understanding about your project, we will be professional, objective and transparent. Our goal is to deliver a completed project that meets or exceeds your expectations in every way. Our job is to listen, understand, plan, document and deliver. YOUR PLANS If you have an architect, we will work with him/her in every aspect of the project plans. If you do not require an architect, we can provide drawings and details for your project in house. If you do require an architect, we are aligned with some of the best and will gladly make recommendations. We are licensed and bonded in Chicago and many surrounding communities. We carry $2mm in liability plus workers comp insurance.
