We selected Dave McLean of Castle Building on our basement finishing project in 2014. With the exception of one finished corner, the basement was completely unfinished. The project involved creation of a detailed design that led to completion of an amazing basement that included: *Staircase with grand opening landing *A family room with 3-sided gas fireplace with brick facing *Custom built-in drawers taking advantage of space under stairs *Bar area *Office area with built-in desk *Built-in corner bookcase *Exercise and weight room alcove *Three storage areas *Shower that was added to an existing half bath Dave and his crew did an outstanding job on this project from start to finish. We couldn't be happier!

Our recent project was a basement 'add-on' and finish. we contracted to have part of our basement excavated and turned into 2 usable areas and another area in the basement finished to be a bedroom with separate laundry room. Dace McLean did an excellent job at communicating with me during the various stages of the project. His professional demeanor and caring attitude is rare in a contractor and I felt very fortunate with him overseeing all aspects of the project. He is definitely a contractor I trust and again, this is very rare. I believe he takes pride in his work and works extra hard to get the tasks at hand done, even if that means rolling up his sleeves and doing it himself. He went above and beyond keeping the mess at a minimal and many times would clean up the areas himself. His efforts were noticed and appreciated.

The owner is honest, helpful, and proficient. I am very happy with everything the Castle Building Company has done for me. On time. Good communication. Within budget.
