I had two large projects done. The last one being coating an old rubber roof. Roof access required the men walking up the inside stairs of my house which I accommodated. However one of the young careless workers walked across an old oriental carpet with paint on his shoes which could not be removed and permanently ruined the rug. Paul promised to either pay for it or to fix my gutter with a rain barrel. Do NOT trust his word...get it in writing. He has not come through on his agreement to rectify this problem. Legal action is the other option. BE CAREFUL!!!!

Paul came out to install / replace our roof, he gave us a quote and practically doubled it after starting the job. I was ok with that because his team did not know what was under the existing roof before starting. He also informed me the price was due to rotted plywood underneath the shingles and it would all need replaced. "Replaced" was the key word here. I went into my attic after the job was completed and realized he went over our old rotted/moldy plywood with new plywood instead of ripping off the old. A.) This is against code in our borough. B) will eventually need replaced after 10/12 years after consulting several other reputable roofers and C) the weight and health concerns this leaves myself and my two small children with is down -right frightening. He also cut corners in every aspect of the job, did not install our vents correctly, reused old parts from our existing home when told new items would be used. He was very dishonest and was impossible to get a straight answer out of after I brought this to his attention. He is a great salesperson not a great or honest contractor. Steer clear!

If you read nothing else, please check out Roofology's "F" rating on the BBB https://www.bbb.org/pittsburgh/business-reviews/roofing-contractors/roofology-roofing-in-pittsburgh-pa-71018494. I was informed that my roof needed replacement by the owner, Paul, after a thorough investigation by one of his associates. That evening I called Paul and was impressed with his eagerness to negotiate and willingness to promise things above and beyond what was required as a roofer. For example, due to the leak in the roof much of my insulation was wet and Paul promised to come and assist the next weekend in removing and replacing it, free of charge. After being promised a new roof that was “closely matched” to my old roof color I gladly signed the contract, happy to have my roof replaced at the excellent price offered. The first sign of trouble occurred when I was informed via text that an exact match for the color could not be found as it may have been discontinued but something close to it was. Unfortunately a picture of the color was not provided nor did I push for one, expecting a new grey to be more or less similar and acceptable. That evening I arrived home to find my roof was now a reddish tan color and that Paul had pressured my wife to pay prior to finishing the job, meaning I would not have the opportunity to discuss the new color in person. Over the course of the next few days I did my best to contact Paul, who, now that he had the money, was extremely difficult to get a hold of. We finally came to an agreement of some financial compensation (related only to my dormers not being completed, not to the wrong color being put on my house) along with him coming to remove the trash that had been left lying around my home by his employees (the contract stated property was to be cleaned at the end of the work day). Sadly, these promises seemed to have been made merely to placate me. Paul has remained difficult to get a hold of and has shown no effort to physically come and fulfill his obligations. Beyond the obvious frustration I am seriously concerned that the warranty I supposedly have on my new roof is worthless. If there is a leak in a few years, will he actually fix it or just make vague promises in the hope that I’ll eventually stop contacting him? If you do choose to do business with this company: beware! Protect yourself and do not trust a word that is spoken to you, for it is likely a ploy to get your money when the job is mostly complete and then to disappear.
