About Hartzell Construction
In 1948 Wilbur Hartzell started his company simply cleaning roofs in the Hollywood area of South Florida. By the early 1950's business expanded to include the manufacturing of roof paint. Ed Holman, a Florida native, began working for the growing company in the early '70's. By 1976 Ed took over operations of the painting company. It was about that time Ed's brother, George, left the Navy and joined Hartzell as General Manager. Together they expanded operations to include; house painting, commercial painting, weatherproofing and all forms of specialty coatings.
